We started the morning with Bart from KRC in San Diego. He placed lots of the boulders for us.
Next was a delivery from Waterwise.
Check out the stunning specimens we got!
Neighbors were blown away by the plants.
We also had a visit from our son Jon who is going to be helping grow the DFS brand.
This makes me happier than a seagull with a French fry.

I would love to see some KZbin shorts of before/after maintenances or even full projects. I often go back and watch the original install to see the baby plants versus the mature plants, so some shorts or vids showing gardens maturing over time would be super fun.

Agree about before and after. Sometimes I see videos and I remember seeing the original but I cannot go back and find them .

It would be so cool to see more before and after comparison shots of your installations so we can ooh and ah even more than we already do. This uniquely multi-shaped project area with rain exposing important information to inform successful design elements is fun showing how you gracefully incorporate new ideas on the fly. Go wet team DFS.

Maybe move some of the boulders on the left to the front OR your favorite Laura “barrels!!”😊 AND maybe a rock creek there near the stairs?

Looking good so far what a shame water floods from the steps to the ground but good idea with tall pots

For those of us that live in an apartment with no yard and/or balcony, a video on indoor succulent garden would be terrific!😊

You are truly DFS warriors!! Clay is hard enough to work with on a good day, but it’s like ceramic slip when wet. You’ve definitely risen to the challenge!

Love you in front of the camera AND love you behind the camera as well! We can really see clearly your vision for the place as you describe your process and the design needed.

As a suggestion: recommend facing edging blocks against shrub border outward. There mimicking the look of the retaining wall.

Individual little videos for planting a prickly cactus in a pot. Planting a large trough succulent tapestry. Or the rain gutter creation and installation plus planting. Garden is looking great, and yes, so many beautiful colorful plants 🎉🎉🎉!

I’d like to learn the team’s favorite part of the garden for each project, their favorite plant(s) to work with and what they may have learned working on projects.

I really enjoy when you visit suppliers, even showing us where you get all the cool boulders and top dressing rocks. Also an Instagram live would be cool too, taking live questions. Love from the Central Valley Z9B🌵

Can you make little shelves with retaining wall in the lower most part where you have less rocks …. So they get used and not just get covered by the ficus in the fence… it might look pretty….. obviously you know what will be best …😊😊😊 can’t wait for the grand reveal 😊

Wow! The color contrasts are going to be great. Your videos have helped me commit to my idea of adding more contrast in my front yard as I re-do things, whether it's different colors of flower-shaped succulents, or bloom colors.

I’d love to see more of the plants close up - in South Africa we don’t really see such large specimens and also not all of them. Would a dry rock bed not work on the small side area by the steps? When the water flows down the steps, the river bed just won’t be dry. I’m not sure of the strength of the flow of the water and whether it would actually wash rock away

I would Iove to see a video of the team transplanting and/ or planting large specimen trees. I have a few on my property that I want to move, and I would love to see more information on how you do it. Thanks!

I would like videos on succulent planter arrangements for inside the home. Maybe a video on revamping nature succulent arrangements I don’t live in the “land of milk and honey” so other than hens and chicks, my succulents are in planters inside under grow lights.

interesting she has so much water coming from 'somewhere', is there a hillside in the back? we have had so much rain up here in OC but still not as bad as up in the LA area.. sheesh... glad you aren't getting it like we are, but i did see the tornado warning (gasp)... i meant to ask you in your fb post about questions; ?TIP PLEASE?: i would love to see how to lace a full jade plant.. i have a beautiful one in a pot that is in full bloom right now, but when that's done i think i would like to open it up a bit.. any tips? also, saw your reel at the air bnb.. nice!!! have fun!! 🥰🥰🥰

I would love to know how you compensate for the mounds settling, getting lower shortly after installation. How much do the mounds settle per foot? The mounds and rocks are my favorite part of your installs!
