Y'all weren't kidding when yall said a mouth watering experience, that peel n eat shrimp looked appetizing and full of flavor! The scallops looked well seasoned but the grilled pound cake on the other hand looked like a piece of cornbread but guess the video doesn't do it justice and it's one of those things I'd have to be there to see and taste it for myself! Thanks again for sharing this with us!

The Seafood Shack looked great. I have never heard of grilled pound cake. I know my wife will order the fried shrimp. I will most likely try flounder. I don't normal eat scallops. But, Davids scallops looked to good to pass up. Thanks for showing us this funky little seafood spot. I can't wait to try it later this summer.

You guys can really find some of the best non chain restaurants, all the food looked delicious, don't like fried oysters, but David's scallops looked on point, Cindy your shrimp looked amazing

I will tell you that those shrimp were cooked perfectly! So good!!! Everything we had was outstanding. The view was beautiful too! I do a little research before we go places. Always searching for the best food and atmosphere. This place definitely qualifies for that. We have another video coming out tomorrow that I think you will like too.

You heard David say that they were some of the best oysters he has had. He gets oysters a lot of places. He says it has a bit of a salty taste because they are so fresh. We all were pleased with the food here. Looking forward to going back. Hope you have a great week!

Great video! Y'all have us wanting to go back now. We haven't been to that one in 2 years. Dockside, the place that was behind where you were sitting, is another great one. They have an outdoor seating area in the back, but are not open for lunch. Only supper. I have to say, that grilled shrimp looked amazing. If they refuse to make it both ways, I will simply tell them..."Hey, you did it for our friends from VA, so that's what we want, too!". But seriously, I would probably try it that way, mainly because we usually get the Calabash style several times each trip, anyway. This would be something different. Really enjoyed this video. Last time we went there, we sat facing the waterfront, and is it would happen, a fishing boat came in right when we were eating, and starting cleaning the fish right in front of us. That was an experience!

Glad you enjoyed the video. When I started researching places to go and discovered here, I knew we had to go. I didn't realize this was the place you went until later. We rewatched the video and I remembered you talking about the boat coming in and cleaning the fish. lol I can see why you like the Calabash area. There were several places that we would like to try. We can't stop talking about here. David loved the oysters as you could tell and I loved all the shrimp. We can't wait to go back!

@vafunseekers Yes, Calabash is truly a special place, if you want good seafood. So many options right there in that one little area. We have pretty much tried them all, as far as the seafood places go. I can't even really say one is better than the other, because they are all so good. And yes, that was quite an experience to get to see fish cleaned while you're eating fish. And I also really enjoyed David's footage at the end with the drone. That was beautiful.

Everything was delicious! We went there Tuesday, April 2nd. You will definitely love this shrimp if you like calabash shrimp. I don't think you can go wrong here with anything that you get. Plus the view and vibe is pretty cool too. Hope you have a fantastic week!
