GARRET AT MAX VS XP DEUS WS6 MASTER. CAN IT KEEP UP IN 2024?

I have been detecting for overv53 years. I have had many detectors over the tears. I thought the Fisher F-75 was a fantastic detector and used it for 6 years. Then came along the Deus 1. Wow, what a difference. Then the Deus II came out, and I jumped on it as soon as I could. Man, the technology certainly has changed and the Deus II is my deyector of choice and it should be a great detector for years to come. People that think the single frequency detectors are just as good as the newer multi frequency detectors are truly missing the boat.

Good Video! - Minor Correction 9:35 The Equinox is not the first Multi-Frequency Machine. Multi Freq has been around since the early/mid 2000s with the Fisher CZ, Whites V3, and Minelab Sovereign FBS machines. In fact, none of these machines do anything the V3i couldn't do they just do it better (deeper/unmasking) and faster today. I guess you could say the Equinox was the first of the faster processor waterproof modern ERA of multi-frequency machines that set the bar that all other machines are now measured against in all environments.

wrong Travis there were no multi freq machines only single and dual freq with minelab having bbs 17 freq and fbs 28 freq at the time which is completely different than what they created in 2017 with the Equinox 800 and 600

@@NHbeachmetaldetecting yeah I get that the FBS spectrum is technically not what the Equinox was but the V3I was running 3 frequencies at once. The CZ5 only ran 2 which the current D2 only runs 2 frequencies as well to my understanding. The V3i as far as I know is still the only machine that showed you which frequency was hitting the target hardest. A nice feature I’d like to see brought back.

Great imformation and demonstration. Deus 2 Ws6master great machine at a great price. Found me my oldest coin . Also has many factory program's that are adjustable to every hunt. Thanks for posting.

I jumped on the Deus 2 when they first came out. Sold the Deus 1 to help pay for it. Going on year 3 and absolutely love this detector. I've been digging for 38 years and have used many detectors. I've purchased some extra accessories to make a WS6 master setup. So now I have a backup for my Deus 2. 😆

Oh no...😂... Garrett AT line up are decent.. I repeat decent but not on the same stage as any modern technology metal detector... Minelab, nokta and especially XP are light years ahead of Garrett. As an American I find that fact unfortunate but very true ... just my opinion...

N. California here and I say Deus 2 and Manticore are close. But we detecting buddies and I give the advantage although minimal to the Manticore over the Deus 2. Manticore can squeeze out a touch more depth and definitely outshines the Deus 2 on coins that are tilted up or on edge. No other machine can touch the Manticore on coins tilted up or on edge. Now Deus 2 locks onto the coins vdi number much more solid than the Manticore. Deus 2 is easier to use especially when new to a machine for sure. Manticore has taken a lot more hours of use to get dialed in and learn how it's responding to coins especially coins mixed with iron junk. After hundreds of hours with both machines my go to is now the Manticore.

Agreed, in the UK the Vortex is more expensive without headphones than the Deus master, the Vortex no headphone is £630 someone has an offer on the Deus master @ £625.

Comparing AT Max or AT Pro to Deus 2. Be like using a cane pole to fish vs a modern bait casting fishing reel. Hmm Garrett is trying to do exactly what Calabash is trying to show. How? Intro of Vortex.

ws6 is top performer in the world on land and beach, elite and triple are close ELITE has a small edge on depth and small gold on the beach over the triple. The WS6 has the same performance as a Full Deus II setup...Best in the business..

Calabash i love my WS6 master for it's performance and ergonomics. but i do have to say that 3 WS6 masters brooke down in 2 years time. The first 2 the display start falling out, still giving sound and the last brooke down just one week ago when it was only 2 months old. This one didn't started up after i recharged.

I got first world problems with the full remote, snow melted just enough on a curb strip I could take the D2 out for the first time since I got it on black Friday, it kept falling off my chest strap, the D1 never fell off, I guess the D2 remote is top heavy or something Did the warranty cover your ws6 masters? I think it should

Good thing it has a 5YR warranty...I got a few broke down remotes and coils from diving..

@@digginggopher I bought one WS6 headphone separate and another was in a complete Deus 2 set. Both where covered with the 5 year warrranty. My dealer gave my everytime a new one. I also have the full remote for 2 years but i only used it once because i like the WS6 for the weight.

@@petervandenbosch6353 see I like the remote because I can clip it on my body in the faux leather case, and I film my hunts so I don't want to use headphones I have the ws4 deus lite and I never use it except one time when I forgot my remote at a place I like clipping the D1 to my go pro strap beside the camera because the camera picks up the tones even when I can't hear them in person due to traffic or ambient noise But it looks like I'll have to figure something else out for the D2

Yes but….in terms of single frequency technology a month or so ago this channel was showing the Nexus single frequency hammering everything else for depth and the unmasking was looking good…..never really got there as the videos were deleted. I’m a D2 user but was very interested in this comparison. It’s difficult to accept this in terms of objectivity when contradictory results were being demonstrated last month and then deleted. How does the Nexus V3.5 ? compare to the Deus or Manticore in terms of unmasking. Please can a video be made to show this?

The Nexus is the deepest detector on high conductors I have ever seen. For my style of hunting in iron I prefer the digital machines. The guy over in the U.K has plenty of videos on it also there is USA detectorist using one too.

Thank you for the reply. Just a little U.K. detector history, in the 1980s / 90s Arado 120/120b/130 were the iconic VLF machines along with PI machines like the Goldquest from Eric Foster (many would say the father of PI) . I had many of the above machines and met Mr. Foster on several occasions. Later in 2010 Arado released a 320 machine - same format iron only meter discrimination. The depth seemed similar to the Nexus ( maybe I am wrong). The big however for me though was usability which is why I switched to a Deus 1 and later Deus 2. Not really performance in terms of depth as the PI machines on the beach were hitting 20” in wet sand on coin sized targets in the 1990’s. The Nexus interest me if performance is there with ease of use in most situations. I don’t quite get that impression though. Thank you again for your reply.
