GARRETT VORTEX IRON AUDIO BOTTLE CAP REJECT IRON VDI. MY SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE THE VORTEX

I agree. That elongated iron audio can definitely tire out your ears in a short period of time. It is helpful to have a distinguished iron tone to be able to isolate those iron targets and be able to hear the non ferrous that is mixed in an iron patch. Otherwise it sounds like a bed of nails that are just falsing. Great suggestions!

I start detecting in 2000, in 2001 was approved dealer for Garrett, Tesoro, Minelab, Detector pro, Troy here in Montreal Qc Canada and also sold from time to time White's .. I tried hundred of detectors and haven't found any outperforming Minelab and from what I see the Explorer XS from 2000 was and to my opinion one of the best to ID what was in the ground. All I see for 24 years is not much improvement apart weight and waterproof . I 'm very happy about Nokta triple score price vs quality is excellent. Minelab in my opinion are to expensive. now for Garrett from GTI 2500 to Scorpion, ace, Sea Hunter and At and more that I tried, they never got the edge to outperform other brand. it is a shame from one of the first manufacturer in the metal detecting industries

I believe Garrett can be competitive. I must admit I am a very positive person. Nokta and Dilek were able to be attentive to the customers and responsive on meritorious requests. I fail to see why Garretts/White's can not be strong competition? Other simultaneous metal detectors were navigating in unexplored waters that is not an issue with Garrett that has the copyright intellectual property rights to true simultaneous frequencies? My guess is that Garrett will not make that fix for a long time if at all but will fix the vdi iron problem which definitely needs to be fixed. Garrett is not Nokta, more like Minelab when it comes to making changes on a machine.

You are 100 percent correct. Calabash doesn't understand Garrett and how they do business. He will never be a tester for them. They will not send him beta releases. They had a standard protocol for testers and he doesn't fit that mold. All that said I wish they would take advantage of his help but they just don't work that way.

Beaches in ireland can be loaded with iron , especially near or around coastal erosion . How anyone can stand those tones is beyond me

It would be nice if you scanned the concrete before putting the targets down to show if there is iron rebar in it.

So I've seen all the videos from CD, Iffy, and TNSS about this Garrett Vortex. I guess Garrett will never out pace or even come close to competing with the big three companies. I'm disappointed. Had such high hopes an American manufacturer might regain some respectable world ranking. One word, spoken three times, is all I can hear...Fired, Fired, Fired 🙁

I already have a detector, but if i was in the market for one this would be a deal breaker for sure. I cant imagine anyone testing this would have not found it flaws in use. From what I have seen its been the fanboys and Garrett lovers who have been using this all singing from the same song sheet. Garrett ... seriously .... Are you learning anything here ?

Too complicated and cumbersome to operate. No KISS principle used seems. Deus 2 is easier to run. If you can believe that. Equinox is too.
