Found my answer in a book called The Calcium Paradox. You health wizards should look into the calcium lifecycle. If you treated causes instead of symptoms, we might all be better off.

Magnesium is a better option, always has been. It dilates vessels, not by blocking calcium (as people misinterpret it as doing) but by giving more espression of relaxation to the vessel.

Marie Shadden Calcium channel blockers only stop calcium from entering the cell of the heart or blood vessels. The calcium still can get into the bones.
