It felt like a made for TV film. Nice casting. The bomb and the weak beam plus Britain’s unluckiest criminal... this was a heist that could never be. Everyone had a character flaw but it was a compelling watch. Thanks George Martin for beatling around on the harpsichord!

Tough but kind, l knew lots of men of that time who were just like this, they had been through the war. Not a touch of viciousness but you wouldn’t want to square off with them.

Great movie. It would help, however, if the "Subscribe" and the "Watch Next" blurbs would hold off for a few seconds until after the final scene is actually over! When loading up a film why not let it go for about 10 seconds after it ends so the blurbs can be shown AFTER the film is over?

This one was quite excellent. Can anyone recommend similar low key heist capers of this type like The League of Gentlemen, Rififi and The Asphalt Jungle? Also the end seems to really slam into you in movies like this- was this common or are bits cut out from the originals?

He got free from the beam, but not the bomb, pity. His friend needn't worry about his ticker going, the bomb's ticker went first. All kidding aside, it was a really good movie that ended in a bang. Just couldn't pass that up. Really well set up with a surprise ending. Thanks UK and Flick Vault for an excellent crime drama!

Try Googling "Mr Nightingale bank robber" and read about a real-life "tunneling bank job" in South Africa in the early 1970's. I don't think "Mr. Nightingale" has ever been caught.
