I had the iNspire CX as well. I needed one with the CAS system and didn't really like the interface for the Inspire so I opted for the TI-89 Titanium.

When I did One Variable Statistic using the same numbers you did I got completely different results

But how can I get the frequencys from the data? like if I had a couple hundred numbers I needed to fill in and needed to know how many times the number 17 showed it's ugly head, or 21

is it important to order the numbers by size? so 3 before 4, 4 before 7 etc. or can I just put in 7,3,4 and the calculator orders them automaticallly ?

+Thomas For calculating 1 var statistics there is no need to have the numbers in ascending order.

what if i want to use 2 lists? Cause i have this question about 130 students have an exam and the maximum points to get is 18 and lowest gotten is 7. now the assignment seems pretty easy but every time i try to do this my calculator either says the sum is 150 instead of 130 (150 is 7 till 18 summed up).. if it does say 130 then the rest of the things don't seem right cause my answer book says for example that the standard deviation should be 2,49 but my calculator says 9,52. Do you know what I did wrong? I think I did it exactly as how you showed it.. Thanks anyway :)

*sigh* Thank you. I'm the only one in my class with this calculator, so the teacher has no idea how to do this on mine (she even told me she didn't think I could use it on state tests, but I can). So I just kinda sit there in class learning it on a calculator I don't have. Now I know how to enter the data I need to do statistics, and with a little exploring, I even found out how I can do the scatterplot that shows the linear regression, Cubic, Quartic, ect. Now I can do my homework :D
