Calculations of the Vinegar titration lab with Mrs. Burger

We used 0.1 M NaOH and titrated household vinegar to get the percentage of acetic acid in vinegar.
Notes:
Density of vinegar is a known value that can be looked up online.
The 60.052 comes from the molar mass of vinegar
4Hx1.008=4.032
2Ox15.999=31.998
2Cx12.011=24.022
add together to get 60.052 g/mole

where does the value for density came from?

Hi, it's a known value that you can look up online. Alternatively, you could determine it experimentally, but this is an accepted value.

I think this was molar mass Molar mass = sum of mass of all atoms in the molecule E.g. M(CH3COOH) = 12 + 1(3) + 12 + 16 + 16 + 1 = 60g The decimal values are probably from more accurate measuring instruments _Use the required number of significant figures that you are asked to round off to_

@@ThatOneOddGuy yep, that's the molar mass calculation. My periodic table has masses that are precise up to the thousandths place.
