Great video, like many other projects, I got to do some "tune up" of my bandsaw to do the resaw work, and I don't have a drum sander, but built a sled for my planer and got all the pieces to the right dimensions. I used a trick that a friend taught me years ago for gluing up the 1 inch square pieces by gluing them and wrapping them tightly with old bicycle inner tubes. It works nicely, putting the pressure on all the corners. Thanks for this, you do really nice work, and I am officially a fan!

Thanks a bunch! I like the inner tube idea, I'll have to give that a try sometime!

Caleb. Nice work. Love the 3D look, and your repair was done well. I have had the same problems when doing large glue ups under pressure, by mixing up the pieces a little bit. I have made mistakes far worse than what you made in this video. Your recovery was exemplary.Congrats. PS, it’s always interesting to show our work to other people, and they usually gush about the wonderful appearance. It feels good. But I’m sure all of us woodworkers obsess about all of our mistakes and magnify them in our minds.

Hello Caleb beautiful job on the four tower board. I ordered the plans and was surprised to see you didn’t have the materials list included.Any reasoning for that?Plan to get started next week and for Gods sake build yourself an out feed table.
@CalebsFineWoodworking
@CalebsFineWoodworking 14 күн бұрын
Thanks! As far as a material list, when i'm doing a project with a lot of little pieces of different sizes i find it easiest to look at what pieces i need and then lay them out on a board to minimize wastage. Rather than saying 3bdft walnut for example, Where you could purchase a wide variety of board "sizes" that give you 3bdft, but maybe don't give all the pieces needed. To me that makes sense but it might not to others. let me know what you think!

Bought your plans. Would like to know the size of the finish project. I would like finish to be approximately 12x12. Your suggestions?
@CalebsFineWoodworking
@CalebsFineWoodworking Жыл бұрын
Thanks for purchasing the plans! The finished size was 16.75" by 10" by 1.5". You could try scaling the dimensions but It would be easiest to make a 10 by 10 by shortening the length of the finished pattern. Hope this helps!

Because you are slow doesn't mean using inferior glue.....with TB3 you will have more than enough time..... Stop trying to make excuses

@@daveklein2826 with 140+ pieces to glue together at once not sure your point or why you made it personal. With multiple people helping it was barely enough time.
