One thing that may get overlooked sometimes in all the videos, is what a big strong man Jan is. I helped out a bit on the farm in summers as a young man and realize some of the things he makes look rather easy, aren't easy at all. He tosses those bales around like nothing and they are not light. Great video as always. Cheers.

Calf Room Clean! Thanks for the sisters efforts and their parents guidance, this place is the envy of any dairy farmer in Canada!! Great video again. Noted again in this video that Jan uses the same techique for snapping the strings on the bales of straw. The important part of that labor saving trick is to make sure the knots of the bale are facing you, otherwise the bale bursting effort will fail, and almost half pull your arms and wrists out of their sockets. We used to sling bales on our backs, and snap the strings and the bale contents spread out twice as much all in one swift move.

Jan you need a 2 tired cart to take with you when vaccinating and drying off. Fill 1 shelf with clean supplies and the other for dirty supplies. Put your sharps container on the cart. Sharps directly in rather than recapped and put in your pocket. This is safer and a time saver so you don't have to pick up all the packaging, syringes, etc. Just a thought for you.

When we have one dominant cow, we teach the rest of the herd self defense. Its called Tai Cow Doo. It seems to work, but if the dominant cow still acts up, we have Chuck Norris come by and whisper something in her ear. We don't know what he says, but afterwards, the cow stops bullying, cleans her own stall, puts on her milkers herself, and sends apology notes to the rest of the herd.

Wow, I can't believe how much you and your sister's look alike! I come from a family where I have three sister's, and we were all born in a 5 year period, but none of us, other than my 2 younger sister's look alike. My 2 younger sister's did kind of have a resemblance to each other when they were younger, but that resemblance faded as they grew older. I give you kudos for the hard work you do, but I imagine you get nice paychecks for all that hard work. Nice to see a family run business where all the family chips in!👍🐄

What is your sister studying? Is she planning to continue with the dairy? Tip - you can help you sister, when pouring out of the 5 gal jug put the spout on the high end, then you should be able to control it better. Works good for small oil cans too.
