When that calf stared that lion down... that was an intense moment. I didn't know that buffalo knew that trick. In most cases, as I understand it, if the(adult) buffalo would just turn around and charge the lions chasing it they'd back off. You can see it really caught the lion off guard.

there is nothing horrifying about this! watching these animals fight and live in the wild is amazing! we can't watch wild animals expecting them to act as a human being would "oh, i'm not gonna kill this little calf because it's just so cute"

I've always enjoyed watching African lion movies by these two cinematographers since I was young. As I became older and became interested in photography and motion pictures, I am continously amazed at their skills and story telling.

@crazyviolent69 Hi, yes I am Kris. :) Thanks for the kind words. Lions, aka Panthera Leos in the animal kingdom are just awesome and they are my favorite animal to shoot. I am extremely knowledgable about lions and would love to talk about lions to anyone interested. My puppies were born on 1/1/11 and have been a full time job. I have a dozen! :)

I found it to be VERY beautiful to see a hooved herbivore get killed. Buffalo meat is delicious and I hope the lioness enjoyed her kill! And it was veal too! Even better!
