Today updated to 3.3.9 firmware accordig to Calf's annoucement. The dynamic range is much better than before, but the color saturation is still weak. Imo getting better and better, so finnally it will be usable.

I have been shooting different types of VR videos for a long time, posting them on KZbin VR. Now I use Insta360 EVO and Kandao Qoocam EGO, but I have been looking for an amateur camera with a high resolution in VR180 3D format for a long time. CALF gen 2 seems to be such a camera. I would like to see the results of shooting this camera in different lighting conditions. Will you post videos on the KZbin VR channel? Unfortunately, I do not have a Premium account on DeoVR. It is difficult to open it from my country. Therefore, I hope to watch your videos that are available without Premium with Quest 3. I will be waiting with interest for your new information on this camera.

Hello and thanks for watching my video on the Calf gen 2! I've experimented with posting videos to KZbin VR, unfortunately it will not give you an accurate view of this camera's capabilities, for two reasons. First, is that KZbin will only display it as a 4k video even though it is uploaded in 8K. I don't know why this is the case but I have yet to have KZbin display any of the videos I've shot on the Calf-Visinse in 8K. Second, in order for KZbin to display the video in VR180 format, I have to inject it with metadata which tends to distort straight lines for some reason. BUT, I'll tell you what I can do... I will shoot some clips with my Calf-Visinse and post them to DeoVR and leave them unmonetized. You will be able to see them then without a premium account. Even on a Quest 2 (which I still have and use to check video quality) you will get a much better representation of what the Calf-Visinse is capable of. It is far from a perfect camera but it really is fun and I'm very happy with many of the videos I've shot. I've saved your user name and I just subscribed to your channel. @WildWonderfulWeekends Thank you. I have been doing stereo since 1967. Now I shoot on amateur cameras VR360, VR180 3D, SBS Flat 3D. I would like to improve the quality of the video. That is why I am interested in new cameras. I will definitely watch your video. I have only three videos on DeoVR.

@WildWonderfulWeekends DeoVR allows you to publish videos with higher resolution, but KZbin VR is a much more friendly environment for communication and sharing opinions. 3D videos can be viewed on different platforms. In addition, they also seem to work towards increasing quality. Therefore, I recommend that you also publish your 3D video on KZbin VR

@@YGershteyn That is very interesting, I've found the opposite to be true. KZbin frequently censors opinions and demonetizes videos that go against certain opinions. I've been publishing 360 content for over a year and recently tried for months to post VR180 videos here and they never represent the quality of the work (both creatively and technically). At present, they are woefully behind the curve when it comes to displaying VR180 content, especially.

@@WildWonderfulWeekends It's much easier for me to find interesting videos on KZbin and there are no Premium restrictions. Of course, these are largely my problems, but I think that on DeoVR this dialogue of ours would not have taken place.

This camera is junk. I have had it with trying to get this camera to be of any use for me and will be in my junk drawer. Not worth anymore of my time and effort. Thanks for your videos

Believe me, my friend... I completely understand. I believe this company has hurt their reputation badly by using the customer as quality control. Hopefully there will be more offerings at this price point in the near future. Have you seen the QooCam 3 Ultra VR180 mod? I don't think I would risk doing it but the video quality people are getting from it is impressive.

@ Have not seen that qoocam mod. I have recently gone and purchased the 3.9 VR lens and am really enjoying that.
