When this happens, it means the location you are searching already has a registered / recognized address or location, which you can simply share instead of GPS coordinates. If you choose a remote, off-grid location to test this, you should see that the GPS coordinates remain in the search box.

Believe me, my friend... I completely understand. I believe this company has hurt their reputation badly by using the customer as quality control. Hopefully there will be more offerings at this price point in the near future. Have you seen the QooCam 3 Ultra VR180 mod? I don't think I would risk doing it but the video quality people are getting from it is impressive.

@@robertgreen3170 I haven't researched their security in-depth, I'll leave it to you to perform that due diligence and make all considerations necessary for your particular business. I use them and have had no problems. Many businesses rely on Google Cloud services and I imagine their policies and security are on par with Microsoft and Amazon.

Hello and thanks for watching my video on the Calf gen 2! I've experimented with posting videos to KZbin VR, unfortunately it will not give you an accurate view of this camera's capabilities, for two reasons. First, is that KZbin will only display it as a 4k video even though it is uploaded in 8K. I don't know why this is the case but I have yet to have KZbin display any of the videos I've shot on the Calf-Visinse in 8K. Second, in order for KZbin to display the video in VR180 format, I have to inject it with metadata which tends to distort straight lines for some reason. BUT, I'll tell you what I can do... I will shoot some clips with my Calf-Visinse and post them to DeoVR and leave them unmonetized. You will be able to see them then without a premium account. Even on a Quest 2 (which I still have and use to check video quality) you will get a much better representation of what the Calf-Visinse is capable of. It is far from a perfect camera but it really is fun and I'm very happy with many of the videos I've shot. I've saved your user name and I just subscribed to your channel. @WildWonderfulWeekends DeoVR allows you to publish videos with higher resolution, but KZbin VR is a much more friendly environment for communication and sharing opinions. 3D videos can be viewed on different platforms. In addition, they also seem to work towards increasing quality. Therefore, I recommend that you also publish your 3D video on KZbin VR

@@YGershteyn That is very interesting, I've found the opposite to be true. KZbin frequently censors opinions and demonetizes videos that go against certain opinions. I've been publishing 360 content for over a year and recently tried for months to post VR180 videos here and they never represent the quality of the work (both creatively and technically). At present, they are woefully behind the curve when it comes to displaying VR180 content, especially.

@@WildWonderfulWeekends It's much easier for me to find interesting videos on KZbin and there are no Premium restrictions. Of course, these are largely my problems, but I think that on DeoVR this dialogue of ours would not have taken place.

Hello and thanks for checking out my video! I haven't personally used FCP but yes, it is my understanding that FCP is well equipped to work with VR180 video. In fact, I believe it has more features for just that purpose. I believe Hugh Hou even has a couple videos on it.

That's a good question. TBH, I haven't ever looked for the individual photos from a Pano shot like that. I'll look into it and get back to you.

I'm not sure what the limit is or if there even is one, other than storage space on the device being used. But I've download entire road trips from WV to TN without problems.

Great question and thanks for subscribing to my channel! Yes, getting the pro version of Davinci Resolve would mean that you can handle all of these tasks (color grading, trimming, combining, and adding music) in one place and still export at 8k resolution. It's definitely the way to go if you don't mind paying the price for it (and it is a great value, IMO). These steps are just for folks who want more control and flexibility while only using free tools. Oh, and Hugh Hou has tutorials on how to get even more out of Davinci Resolve like adding text and titles to immersive content. Plus you can take advantage of all of the video transitions that DR has to offer too. Take care and good luck!

@@WildWonderfulWeekends No, why would I? I've got an insta360 evo and if it was not for this stuttering and the audio sync problem the Visinse is way better on many levels, so I just hope that they'll fix all that, asap.

I was very disappointed in the Visinse when I first got it, but I figured I would hang on to see if the firmware updates brought it up to where it should be. I'm glad I did. But... I'm not sure I would be able to hold my peace if none of the updates had cured the stuttering images and out of sync audio.

@ Exactly. This product is interesting since there's a lot of room for improvement. If they stick to their updates plan (an to their current price point) that should lead to the best consumer-friendly vr180 cam in a few months from now... Fingers crossed!

That is certainly poor customer service. I believe the next time I buy a 360 camera (if I buy a 360 camera) it will be from a different company. They have competition now (QooCam, for instance) and I will support them. Insta360 needs to do better. What's worse, is it's becoming normal for companies to deliver a half-baked product and only improve via firmware updates when customer's complain enough. I wish you luck, getting your camera activated! Hopefully a friend or family member will have a device that will magically work. My daughter recently bought an x3 and we tried her devices, my phone, and my wife's phone and it wouldn't activate. Finally, it worked on my son's Motorolla.

I hate the NFZ stuff too. It ought to be up to the pilot. Freedom and accountability.

Good suggestions... so far the only storage I really use is my micro SD card. I find it most convenient since it has plenty of storage capacity vs battery life of the camera. One day I plan to demo the live-streaming capabilities of the camera and also how it performs connected to a power supply.
