Not sure why but I really like how Bryce communicates, very Human (personal). Also the relationship between the two of you guys, very inspiring. Extremely high quality content and lessons plus amazing videography. The way you explain movements shows that you are still an active coach today, not someone who use to be a coach way back when. Keep up the good work.

Hell ya!! Thanks a lot guys! ❤ I can very much relate to the first answer! Playing on stage and lifting a heavy ass pr definitely has a similar cathartic effect. The nerves leading up to it, the feeling of time slowing down during and the release you feel when its done. I played lots in my teens and twenties and really discovered powerlifting in the last couple of years and have just been pouring everything i can spare into it! Hoping to compete someday soon! Thanks again for this! 🤘

Maelstrom! In a long list of accomplishments, what are you the most proud of? It could be a piece of content, a certain lift or meet, or even something like meeting Dave Tate and sitting down to for a podcast with him. Follow up question is was meeting Dave what you expected, or was he different than you imagined? And how was the Lift at Elitefts? Thanks!

Maelstrom! What has been the biggest hurdle you had to get through in your powerlifting journey/career? Whether that be a plateau, injury, deciding where to go next, or balancing personal life with training. How did you overcome it? Any advice for someone those of us who want to try and see what limits we can push for ourselves in this sport?

As a firm conventional puller, I will say that the pattern feels much better for me. But I have the leverages for it. Sumo has always felt inefficient to me. Great supplemental movement in the off season, but I'd say at this point I wouldn't use sumo as my main movement. But alas - this debate will continue to the end of time. Keep up the content man!

In amongst a maelstrom of online information, what are the limits to a later to life powerlifter? I only discovered I enjoyed lifting heavy circles at 30 (now about to turn 33), and if I need to consider anything a younger lifter might not!

This question might probably be a few weeks too early or a few weeks too late but have you ever felt so caught up with life outside lifting especially like a few weeks out to a meet, maelstrom of things throwing you all over the place, that you've felt disconnected to the whole process? I'm a few weeks out from a meet in December and the way life has come at me these past weeks has me feeling so disconnected from lifting. I'm still making lifts as programmed but not feeling connected with the process. Have you ever felt something similar, disconnected with the program so close to a meet perhaps because you have someone write you your program so you just show up to do what's on the agenda for the day?

Maelstrom! During a training block, how often do you train hard enough that you trying to access your highest levels of intensity? And are you making sure your accessories are progressing from week to week? Or more just using them for a stimulus for hypertrophy without stressing the numbers too much? Thanks!

Witch Vomit rules. Recently, I have experienced a maelstrom of discouragement switching to sumo. I’m a new lifter, just started a year ago and pulled some much higher 1RM numbers sumo, even though I’ve trained conventional since day 1. On my own, how long will it take to fix issues like low back rounding/hips coming up too fast? What is some advice for someone in the throes of discouragement working on correcting form problems?

Hello Bryce! I'm a beginner/intermediate powerlifter about to turn 30 and to join the 1100 (500 kg) club in a few weeks. My question to you is about longevity and avoiding injury. What is your experience on a situation when you feel like you need to cut back a little and how to recognize those situations. Whether it's sleep, recovery, general mood, maelstroms etc.

Hopefully my question doesn't get lost in the maelstrom because it's a simple one: How can I get more protein in throughout the day besides shakes. I find myself coming up short 50-70g a day with a protein bar in the morning, chipotle burrito or similar for lunch, chicken dish for dinner, and shake before bed as it is.

Maelstrom! Ironically I'm going through one a bit myself, I'm trying to figure out how to continue progressing in powerlifting while dealing with nagging injuries. What has been your approach to training in finding a balance between continuing to push yourself while giving yourself enough time to allow your knee to recover? What strategies do you use to help rehab the injured area (mobility, extra accessories etc.) and how long do you give yourself before going into a more intensive block?

I’ve heard you mention this with Dave state and now with this video, that you’re not a huge belt squat fan. Do you feel it mays still be useful in a context like a garage gym without access to a leg press or other machines? What other quad and squat accessory movements do you recommend for those with limited equipment? I’m trying to keep a balance between finding what works best and not getting sucked into the maelstrom of overthinking all of the options.

IN the vast Maelstrom of Metal/Hardcore subgenres, which is your favorite? Who's your favorite band/album in the subgenre, and why do you prefer it? (For me its tech-death and Inferi's Revenant is my fav artist/album. The noodling and showmanship add a level of fun to the brutality of death metal)

maelstrom. Have you considered your endgame? You mentioned if Worlds goes well you want to drop some bodyweight and get back to 105. Is that just "oh the move to 120 was an experiment and it's done now" or "slowly trying to be a person again in other aspects and if lifting takes a hit so be it"?

Maelstrom! With the pretty huge jump in subscribers recently did that affect your projections as far as merchandise to produce? What does that process look like when coming up with a new launch? Is it just you and Dylan or do you work with others? Do u make them in house in that shower with bloat lord watching over as quality control? And lastly, how do u keep the quality so high while still having very reasonable pricing? Thank u as always for the tremendous content.

I’ve been tinkering with sumo for years. Two weeks ago I think I gave it up for good. My best conventional is 623 in comp, sumo 545 in the gym. But the other day I had easy triples at 485. Figured I’d warmup both stances except when I got to working weight I do one single at sumo… I failed it. Then proceeded to sub 6 RPE a triple conventional lol
