For Cale to abruptly stop running a full schedule so he could spend precious time with his family while he still could is a very honorable sacrifice.

Very admirable. Cale could have easily had 2-4 more cup titles in Junior's #11 if he had stayed in it through the 80's.

Thank you yfor putting this out on KZbin. Cake is so awsome . Crazy thing is my grandad was exactly like him and I think most of anyone on here can say that. My grandad did logging and it was ruff for em also. Man just wish and hope more videos like this

Wow, he said it all when he stopped everything he was doing and fixed his daughter's bikes. He retired from racing and cut back his business affairs to get totally involved in his daughter's affairs/lives. That's the man I looked up to as a boy/Quarter Midget racecar driver!!! I had some real live action figure heroes!!! They were Men , not cartoon characters...

@Calhoun98 Жыл бұрын
I taped it in May of 1984. So I'd say late 83 / early 84.

From what I could find on the 'web, this could have been 1984; as a Washington Post article online of April on that year told of the six Hardee's Cale owns.
