Cali Rally! Griffin Colapinto Holds It Down For California // All Griff's 9's

Raised a cobblestone’s throw from the most high-performance wave in California, Griffin Colapinto has evolved from a Southern California supergrom to a zen warrior and Top-5 Contender.
Griff qualified for the Championship Tour after winning the Men’s Qualifying Series and the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing in 2017. Since joining the Tour, he’s won Surf Ranch, El Salvador, and Portugal twice, climbing the ranks while becoming California’s favorite son, as evidenced in the local crowds at the Rip Curl Finals in Lower Trestles last year.
Griffin’s results at Teahupo’o (25th, 9th, 9th, 9th, and 17th) don’t reflect his raw talent and potential at the Tahitian slab. After watching one of his closest friends, Kolohe Andino, compete for their country in Tokyo, it’s now an opportunity for Griff to fly the flag.

Just amazing all around athlete, showing that he's a human being as well. Not just a surfer, but having outside interest in hobbies to show how well-rounded these individuals are. Surfing at it's best is creativity and individuality and truly is universal. It's not a team or national sport and most everyone on tour are friends and support each other. Trying to create rivalries based on race and/or nationality is wack as anyone can see by looking at weirdo social media comments that do not represent reality. The thumbnail and title of this vid as opposed to the fact that Griff never mentions race/nationality in this entire video is disturbing.
