I really don't get how someone of equal skill is supposed to beat a Calaban player. Luther has many counters at least but Vassago... I just don't get it. It just sucks cause Zahariel and Merir Astelan are super cool warlords to play with. One of my first warlords I got was Zahariel. Making weird obscure decks with those two are some of the most fun I have had in this game. They really need to just make some sort of change to the Caliban jaeger. Even just making it slightly more expensive to put in play or making its ability cost 1 instead of 0 would do wonders for fixing their toxic playstyle and opening up new more interesting decks. Didn't mean to sound whiny or anything. These are just my thoughts.

Defenders of Caliban are just really irritating to go against because of duplicitous. They're by no means the "best" faction and there's plenty of ways to deal with them like tactics. Changing the faction or nerfing certain parts of them would just be making them useless tbh, I think they should be left untouched apart from Luthers ability which is a bit overpowered. I had an idea where Caliban Jaegers could just be 1/1 flank troops without the ability but you'd need to change DoC quite a lot to make them not underpowered after that change like making rally abilities put in play more jaegers, having more ways to buff them, and perhaps a gameplay mechanic where you can do certain things depending on how many jaegers have died, sort of like "Blessing of the Four" but specific to the faction instead. Just some thoughts to make the faction better. You're right about Zahariel and Astelan though, they are by far the most interesting DoC warlords and actually require intelligence to use instead of just braindead troop spam. Which is unfortunate since the entire point of DoC is basically troop spam, a lot of people think that's toxic but that's their gimmick like how Imperial Fists spam sentry turrets and frontlines. Everguild just really need to make the factions more interesting to go against and play as instead of just taking the easy road and making them monotonous and good in incredibly frustrating ways. Like sentry turrets can be really good, but are they fun? No, they're incredibly annoying to go against and I think the main focus should be making a faction balanced and fun not just good.
