@@CzechEngine brings back memories for me, I know of a pale blue calibra that's essentially rotting into the ground but it's the wrong spec and plus I don't think it's for sale ! Haha. Great video!

I hate to see any Calibra rot away but some I have seen are beyond rescue unless you have very deep pockets. Worth saving all the parts though.

I am reminiscing so badly seeing this (in 2021) ... I had the same Colour in the 2.5i V6 ... Best of all, mine was my Company Car originally, which I bought when leaving the Company, so it had no expense spared servicing and cleaning, plus high grade fuels (as I had a Company Fuel Card !) ... which I think made a difference. I still sorely miss mine and loved the V6 'soundtrack' ... It wasn't easy to let it go 😧 Handling wasn't outstanding, but it more than sufficed for my needs with a huge boot space thrown in for good measure ...

Yeah I can imagine that one was hard to let go also . I would love a red V6 still myself. or a Turbo but that ship has sailed unless this channel takes off hahaha

2nd fav car, i was lucky enough to have had one that parked behind me in the car park upon collecting my car in poole a few weeks back, never in my lifetime did i think id have a calibra turbo with all running gear in place parked behind my own rare fiat coupe 5 cylinder turbo plus (rarest model even more than the l.e coupe) got some pics of them together as the owner happened to be walking back to it, was only running 306whp tho but was factory fresh. reg plate was D15 TBO i was left in awe. absolutely SPEECHLESS

Oh wow! Yeah both the Calibra and the Fiat Coupe are strong contenders for me also. I have only been a passanger in a Coupe when i was younger. Not a lot could keep up with us :-) . I think that Calibra was Ollys maybe

@@CzechEngine yeh the calibra and coupe turbos are just about on par when talking standard power levels. though the coupe probably has abit more to give up top end being lighter chassis. and we all know the 5 cylinder sounds the most unique and best out of any other engine configuration/layout. saw one when i was 9 yrs old and it was a LE model, was hooked ever since that day and its my forever dream car.

@@CzechEngine yes the lockdown is ruining alot of stuff, btw if you want to check for water leakings: i saw your sky is hanging so check the antenna. Get the sky out and make some prssure with water, if its leaking i would consider to renew it. Thats one of the biggest weakpoints on the calibra when it comes to water in the inside. Also check the back parts under the car, espacially above the defuser. I had to renew some parts there...

I agree its not the best engine they did , although the headgasket fiascos on all the redtops killed the fleet sales for vauxhall in the 90s which reduced the volumes harshly, the V6 was always the smoothest to drive and the nicest to do motorway work in.
