"Calibrating" Multishot ESCs

Warning: Everyone calibrates ESCs differently. Its a very debatle subject in this hobby. This is how I personally calibrate Multishot ESCs in the BLHeli Suite using the BLHeli passthrough. Take what you want from this video. If you feel there is a better method then use it.

I have the one shot 125, getting a message saying unknown firmaware and it wont let me flash ESC number 1. Using Xrotor 20a multi... any suggestions?

hi i need some help :) i flashed my little bee 20A Pros with multishot then i calibrated the ESCs in the motor tab and then i wanted to find the min throttle value by increasing the slider..but my motors not run as smooth on min throttle as they were running when i was using oneshot125...for example on min throttle 1060 or 1070 they are making that ugly Jittery sound (not running smooth at all) also my motors twitching on zero throttle not all at once but one at a time or so..any ideas? thanx :)

Did you set the ESC type to Multishot in the top right of the configuration tab?

i followed video and when i go back into BF motors will not spin any suggestions?

had a question, you mentioned making sure min_check should be set to 1100 in bf, and you set your min throttle to 1120 in blheli, but you kept your min throttle at 1070 in bf. when I use those settings and turn on airmode (via switch), motors aren't spinning for me until I throttle up. am I missing something? your content and tutorials are phenomenal. many thanks!

It's probably just a small difference in ESCs. They all like different settings. You'll just have to play with the numbers until they start to spin. Or if your ESCs are BLHeli_S, then you can watch my video on removing the signal capacitor from the ESC and using D shot instead of multishot and not have to calibrate or set anything. I like D shot much much more than Multishot.

do I need to flash the esc with multishot if they are Blheli-S? or is it ready with 16.5 Blheli? I was running Dshot600 and I'm having Desync issues feel out of the sky yesterday I'm thinking to try Multishot and wait for Dshot to become more stable.

All ESC with BLHeli S firmware 16.4 and newer are both D shot and Multishot ESCs. They are the same thing. Only difference is if you want to use D shot you have to remove a signal capacitor from the ESC or you will have issues. I have a video showing how to find it and remove it in the BLHeli Suite playlist.

If you Max throttle is 1984 wouldn't you want the Max throttle on BF to be that same number or you'll have a deadzone at the top end

Great video, anyone know of a good video for Spektrum beginners? Looking how to be a NOOB but really learn, a lot of these videos start from English speaking to slowly Greek sounding and then its just Hieroglyphics. Even the forums are lacking for Spektrum users.
