Shadow is one amazing eagle. He is such a devoted mate to his dear Jackie. He wants to continually impress her. I remember when he first laid eyes on her. He was so smitten with her, that he followed her around everywhere. Stormy was still in the nest too, but Jackie wasn't having any of it. She had her one surviving eaglet to raise by her self! But with perseverance and respect, Shadow won her heart! The most beautiful pair!❤

I remember they did this last year before nesting season started. We always say, “trust the eagles” and if I know Jackie & Shadow their quest for a new nest is related to the failures of LY and TY eggs. Do they sense the nest has become outdated? Do they sense something is wrong with the nest or nest tree? They seem determined to build a new one. So we shall see what these two masters of their universe do. We watch. We learn. But always we love them. ❤🦅🦅❤

I was wondering about the size of the nest and the ability to incubate properly! This stick fest made me wonder if they're building a new nest. But why in the snag tree with no pine tree shelter from the elements. Like you said, trust the eagle! They're working hard on this one!

I love the determination of Shadow bringing more sticks in. Shadow sure wants more eggs 😁. 41 sticks is a lot!! Shadow's wings have to be tired from flying all around carrying the sticks. I wonder if the other nest is contaminated and that's why they are switching nesting sites. Loving Jackie and Shadow ❤❤.
