People will be skiing into July at Mammoth (which is fairly common, perhaps Aug there) and Palisades at minimum; no doubt that is upper mtn runs but even if we had long extra warm stretches as we can get in spring, I don’t see it being a fast thing. Hopefully not. Lot of water content

I know this sun is very active right now and that might be contributed into the weather. Here in Central Oregon to Aurora was beautiful last night. It Filled with the sky with all kinds of colors of reds, blues, purples and greens

The Sun is at a solar minimum. The next maximum is a decade away. Everything they've told you about the GSM driving global weather is a lie. Global heating caused by GHG accumulating in the atmosphere is responsible for near all observed climate disruptions. Real science matters, as you will shortly understand.

This is the coldest March since I moved here to Tehachapi in 1994... 39 is the high today... Double gas cost per therm is real aggravating. I burn wood but save some for if the gas goes out and I dont' freeze here at 4k elevation.

OMG, this weather has been absolutely incredible in California! I'm not even tired of the rain because I know how much we need it, particularly the Sierra snow! My forecasts are not showing much precipitation in my socal high desert location but wind will be plentiful. I think it comes down to how the Kona low feeds the cyclone and as you said where it's located . Yes California has had a historic rainy season but it has not been as destructive as it could have been . Most of the atmospheric rivers have not been stationary and moved out of a area at a moderate pace. It may have been fortunate this was not a strong El nino setup with these weather matrix as the atmospheric rivers would have had a lot more moister content

Temperature wise this is pretty much exactly what they said last year for Arizona, we ended up with mostly normal to below normal. They said to expect a dry monsoon season, again they were wrong, very very wrong about that. I have a feeling they're models are going to end up being off again this year.

I used to live right on the river in Boulder Creek. Riverside Drive. The S.L.river was in my backyard. I can remember seeing giant redwoods barreling down the river in the winter. Had a redwood tree fall right outside the house and I wouldn't be here if it had gone the other direction. I was really thinking about all the towns and big Basin where that big fire was a couple or 3 years ago. Glad you're safe, I'm just glad I wasn't there, it's crazy enough up here in the Sierra foothills!

You mean that after so many years of drought and scorching heatwaves you still have living trees?! I’d check that if I were you, especially the trees that might fall on your home. Even the trees that are still alive are suffering from disease and half rotted rootballs from so many years extreme heat and no water.

Yeah sorry for your tough break with PGE they are a garbage company anyway , but there is no way you should get tired of these storms here in California, we need every single inch of snow , and drop of rain .
