Worst if the subordinate is of Muslim or Islam. The Indians are extremely exclusive and only choose their own regardless of qualifications. The discrimination is oppressive. Have witnessed good employees leaving which is unfortunately for employers. In itself, caste culture is slavery liked!
@humptydumpty1481 Жыл бұрын
Most of these upper caste groups (basically Brahmins) are privileged and well-off due to inheritance they got because of their ancestors. So you can say they were 2 levels ahead of lower caste people (who were used by Brahmins as slaves and were ghetosized, and were considered to be at a very low level to the Brahmins) in terms of opportunities, land and power. The initial India. immigrants to western countries were these Brahmins who were able to immigrate because of their immense ancestral wealth and it took an average lower caste man decades to be able to do that. That's how Brahmins got hold of most of the top positions and roles around the world and now lower caste people are catching up to them slowly. That's why Brahmins who always felt superior to lower caste people are getting angry now as they have always considered lower caste people as their slaves.

The manuvaadis boasts of Ramayana, Mahabharat, Yoga and Ayurveda but never mention Manusmriti which is the basis of religion, devadasi, pankthi bedha, Madesnana etc. Castiesm is there in all walks of life, one just need to do census of caste in US to know how the beneficiaries have disproportionally grabbed positions of power and influence. In india the lower caste are being brainwashed, given trishulas and made to fight against minorities on the street where as the upper castes shield their kids from this and give them good education, many of whom go abroad and further their agenda from there and whenever these are pointed out they build a narrative that it is hinduphobic, funny thing is they lie saying castiesm is British creation and yet they oppose Bills against caste discrimination. From religion scriptures to temples, from vedas to upanishads it is all about brahmins and their supremacy. Lower caste have no respect or representation in religion. On that note Kudos to Seattle and CA for taking the lead in fight against caste discrimination and upholding individual freedom and liberty and making sure the dubious groups that oppose this are exposed.

That's not the basis.That was the remains a past thing and things have changed a lot. No one actually follows that. In the past, there were some things called as rituals that was man made and a lot of reforms have been done. If you talk about caste it's almost in all religion that you can find but not same as this one. In India a lot has been changed ever since past. And this will completely vanish as there are reservation that's only make difference that's the basis of discrimination because some people think that they get opportunities more even in less talent that's why. What you mentioned the books name and even meditation forms that's your lack of knowledge that you think caste in everywhere. Saying just discriminatory and inhumane that's only your own created opinion. In India the caste is not fact of discrimination here.

Silas, Without stigmatizing religion as a whole, how can one ensure that it is not being used to discriminate against others because there are several stanzas in religious books that are discriminatory and sometimes even violent against people who do not follow those religions? In my opinion, certain religious texts or practices can foster discrimination and violence. Although it is true that some religious teachings can be discriminatory or promote violence, it is also important to acknowledge that religions are ancient, complex, and multifaceted belief systems that are interpreted and practiced differently by individuals and communities. In ancient times, religion served as the rule of law and religious scriptures were the written constitution, while the unwritten constitution was influenced by the whims of kings, dukes, feudal lords, and aristocrats. Kings relied on preachers, pastors, or mullahs to communicate with the public and maintain their image, so they had to follow the commands of religious leaders. As kings provided wealth and protection, religious leaders supported them in return. One way to ensure that religion is not being used to discriminate against others is to promote education and dialogue around these issues. This can involve encouraging critical examination of religious texts and teachings, as well as promoting open and respectful discussions within a religious group and then between different religious groups with an aim of promoting human rights and equality as universal values that should be respected by all individuals and communities. Another way to address discrimination is to promote inclusive and diverse communities where all individuals are valued and respected regardless of their religious beliefs or practices. This can involve creating safe spaces for individuals to express their beliefs without fear of discrimination or persecution, as well as promoting interfaith dialogue and cooperation. Ultimately, addressing discrimination in religion requires a multifaceted approach that involves education, dialogue including in media, and the promotion of inclusive and diverse communities. It is important to acknowledge that this is a complex issue that requires ongoing efforts and engagement from individuals and communities from all backgrounds. Besides educational and media initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the negative impacts of discrimination and the benefits of respecting diversity and inclusivity, it may be helpful to work with leaders and preachers of various religious entities who are willing to promote logic, tolerance, and inclusivity within their communities. Such leaders, with their rational and critical thinking, can serve as important allies in the effort to address discrimination within and between religions. While it may be challenging to address discrimination in some cases, it is crucial to continue working towards greater inclusivity and tolerance in all aspects of society. Negotiating with individuals or groups who are resistant to equality can be a complex process, as some groups have benefited from the marginalization of others for too long. To dispel the homophobia, the different religious cohorts and the Governments must gather evidence for their claims and counter-claims demonstrating the ways in which equality and inclusivity are important values for all individuals and communities. However, if individuals or communities who discriminate against others based on their religious beliefs are unwilling to engage in dialogue or education on these issues, it may be necessary to engage the government to take legal or other measures to address the discrimination. While some argue that the caste system is an integral part of Hinduism and therefore reflects certain negative aspects of the religion, others argue that caste is a social construct that has been used to justify discrimination and inequality. Whenever someone talks about social justice and the enactment of governance laws to uphold justice, such justice must be comprehensive encompassing as much population as possible, of various demographics within a region. It is important to seek common ground by acknowledging the concerns of both sides and attempting to understand their perspectives. This can involve listening to the concerns of both sides and trying to find areas of agreement or shared values, such as a commitment to human dignity, community harmony, employment opportunities, and the importance of family as a unit of society. In 21st century, there is a greater observability and accountability of religions and governments. Organized crimes and corruption in religion will fail due to the modern communication systems in place. Therefore, the biggest thing to worry for rich & powerful of all the religions of the world is poverty, adverse climate changes and global warming. I hope they use everything in their domain to alleviate the problems and not scheme to exterminate the poor and the meek. As long as people are well and their needs are satisfied, they will be doing their jobs and stay pacified. When they become very poor, that’s when they challenge the status quo. Dalit, Adivasi and other oppressed communities must first concentrate on the Urbanization of their communities thus mitigating the Cultural Appropriation of those cohorts by the privileged upper castes dividing societies into various social strata based on the birth of rest of the masses and giving caste certificates forcing them to do work and part with resources while the top three varnas of upper castes share power, media, arts and businesses. Urbanization will help marginalized communities get closer to the seats of political and business power to influence Government decisions. In other words, be aware, get organized and urbanized first before contesting status quo of larger powerful groups. Also, it is necessary to increase the number of universities and their global rankings so that South Asia will also have choicest man-power to work on not only latest sciences and technologies but also on social and political reforms ultimately improving the overall standard of living of all and their families. When the overall standard of living improves for all communities, they will have more time to discuss, debate, research and become more aware of their voting power inside universities and outside in communities. This is why we don’t hear much about the caste system of Japan, Korea, or China.
@nagas7740 Жыл бұрын
@@kalgandikota7075 Well said, the beneficiaries of caste system comes up with narrative that speaking against it is Hinduphobia, the well cushioned beneficiaries come abroad and carry on their agenda from outside supporting dubious religious bodies and their service wings, but Americans have come out of their initial wonder of the religion and customs and now have become increasing aware of all these. With technology advancement and the world getting smaller they cant sweep things under the carpet and pretend everything is hunky dory with Hinduism and Indians. All one needs is to go to temples and see if there is diversity and inclusion of all castes in the priestly and in trust or management of religious institutions. They have given their own art forms classical status, not hard to figure these things out

Casteless Hindu’ is an oxymoron, an impossibility. Especially an outsider becoming a Brahmin is simply not possible. Brahmins are born, becoming one is not possible. Every so called Hindu leaders knew that very well. B.R. Ambedkar wrote: “The real criterion is not the wearing of the sacred thread but the right to wear the sacred thread. Understood in its proper sense, it may be said without fear of contradiction that the right to Upanayana is the real and the only test of judging the status of a person…” According to religious texts, only Brahmins have the authority to perform the upanayana ceremony. Will they perform the upanayana sanskara even for Brahmin women or for new "Kar Vapasies" or Dalits? Answer is big NO!!! Caste is the fundamental basis of Sanatana Dharma. It's birth based discrimination, inequality and hierarchy is the foundation for ideas like karma philosophy and rebirth to sustain those structures. Without caste there is no Sanatana Dharma.
