The test can be attempted online twice. If a customer fails after the first two tries, they will be prompted to go to a DMV office to take the test a third time.
There are now TWO options for taking the written knowledge exam for your Driver's License, in-person or online.
To take the test online, participants must verify their identify and agree to be monitored during the exam.
Unfortunately, permit exams cannot be taken online and require a visit to a #DMV office.

I bought the dmv cheat sheets hoping i would pass it n dont get me wrong it does help you, but some questions they gave me in the DMV test weren't in the cheat sheets so i do agree with u its better reading the manual n making some notes📝 Next week is my 3rd try 😩 hopefully this time i pass it🤞🏻

There is no one real person there to guide u but once you add the plug-in to your chrome browser it’ll lead you to another page where there’ll be a quick video on the steps you take before officially starting the test. As to your other question, no nobody is watching you in real time but the AI from the plug-in. A real person may review ur footage if you fail or quit the test tho. Hope this helps. Good luck

Hi. Yes you're right. You can still use the same link as long as you're taking the exam Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. It should give you access to the exam.

For some background. I took the regular permit test in person, I failed 2 times. For the third attempt I decided to take it online. I was able to pass the exam online. I was sent an email confirmation confirming I did pass. However, today I went to the dmv where I orginally failed. They say I have no record of passing the permit online. They only said I still have a third chance left. Back in my email. It did have an option in scheduling an appointment. It also carried a confirmation number. I was thinking that maybe if I tried applyiny to a different dmv from the one i orginally took it. I could possibly get my permit that way. I came here asking if there was answers, maybe advice on what could be the problem?

you still need to go to the DMV in person to process your application if you haven't, then you can schedule an appointment for the road test. they won't let you take the road test without an appointment.

Hi! You know what, they can actually tell if your head moves somewhere. I mean you head needs to be in focus to your camera. So if you move your head to look at something it’ll give you an alert to refocus otherwise your exam is rendered invalid.

@@giotube Hi, I went to that site, but after I clicked Confirm, it says "DMV Test Registration Error 500. Test Record Could not be Located". It seems we need our own link from an email after making a payment. But I don't see where I can make a payment. I did the online application from the DMV My Account website, but no option to pay. After finishing the application, it only give me a code to bring into the DMV Office. What am I doing wrong?

Is it for the first timers or knowledge test for someone who already has the lice’s from another state? Believe the tests are different for regular written test and knowledge test. Im looking for the knowledge practice fee. Thank you

I believe renewals and those from another state are capable of taking it. I know for renewals you can avoid taking the test if you have gotten your renewal notice. There is also an eLearning course available for renewals.

You can take online written test. Only applicants BELOW 18 will have to get their parents sign the application. Once you pass the written test, you'll have to go to dmv office to get driving permit

Renewals are 25 I think but first time for adults is 36 and 46 for minors. If you failed you get 3 tries total but only 2 attempts can be done online as the 3rd needs to be done in person. 3 tries is the same as the DMV field office.
