Update: as you know, Ivan Mendez was Angelina's guitarist in LA in 2018. In an interview with Alan Papier on his KZbin channel, Ivan told the story of how the cover came about. In a nutshell "Angelina doesn't have a wish list of songs, she decides spontaneously if she likes a song. After hearing this song she says great song and has downloaded the lyrics. Then Ivan played the melody and Angelina says" good but slower, slower , even slower. OK, well, let's start ". Then the cover was recorded in one take, Angelina sang the song here for the first time after her arrangement without rehearsing beforehand. 💯 *AJ* 💯

Great reaction, fully enjoyed it ! Angelina's version makes you very teary eyed......when she sings this song, you really feel left behind in the cold, dark world, dreaming about the West Coast. That's probably my favorite reaction from you to an Angelina performance. The original is one of my all time favorites, this one takes it even one step further. It's not even about perfect execution (yes she has that too). The mood and intensitivity she's creating here is unbelievable gorgous. I can't even put words to it how much I love it. She has every reason to rejoice at the end. Thanks for your fantastic reaction, there aren't many 11/12-year-old girls who can take a classic song more than 55 years ago, and that was basically a ballad, turning it into a slow and melancholic song that catches you heart filling it with emotions, the musical intelligence with which she re-elaborates, in a unique way, the old songs is amazing and her ability to take advantage of just the accompaniment of the simple guitar sound in background is incredible, I think that only for Angelina is it possible to do it so easily. 😊 In fact, the Mama's & the Papas also liked it and they published it on Instagram.

The first time I heard this, I never wanted it to end. But it did, and I played it on repeat for 4 consecutive hours. It is in my top 3 from Angelina. That says it all for me. She has her own KZbin channel (2.2 MILLION subscribers) with 280 videos. She has appeared on America's Got Talent (twice), when she was only 9 years old. Today, she is 12 and several months ago she put out a cover of "Cold Stone" by Demi Lavato. After you do a reaction of that song, I will give you the back story of this amazing talent.
