I still can't believe you don't have 100/250K Subs or more...The work you've done on the BDR's alone and your own personal journey's....your story telling and cinematography is impeccable. I know Noraly from Itchy Boots has over 1M subs - so we as a community really need to push your Channel...keep up the great content!!!!

Again - I don't usually view adventure/travel videos - But - you have great way/talent of stitching it together to make it interesting/fun/educational/scenic. BTW I've done that a ton of times as you have - do 200 mile loop in the middle of a much longer trips with motorcycle & fast cars Buttler maps have been in my bag from their inception. They Rock!

Hey Sterling - Chris from humangear here. Fantastic footage. As a product designer I can’t help but think (and maybe you’re already on this) but what about using that now ever-more-useful monopod as the high table mount? I’m thinking of some relatively simple cylindrical piece that would go down and around or clamp onto the monopod. Then you bolt the side of the table to that piece, or if necessary there could be some table support members extending off the monopod piece. Alternately, you could add a tensioned piece of cord that is affixed higher up on the monopod and then attaches to the far end of the table to give it more support. The notion of a standing kitchen is a cool one and the monopod seems like the perfect place to try to incorporate that. That high table now also becomes a shelf, too - maybe there’s a small mirror that clamps to the monopod and you could brush your teeth and even shave off it (for all that shaving you do on the road 😂). The “Sterling Uber Pod” tm. Safe travels.
@SterlingNoren
@SterlingNoren Жыл бұрын
Thank you Chris, so nice to hear from you again. Yes I agree it would be nice to have some sort of a table solution that could be attached to the mono pod or the pannier. I will think about it some more but I really do enjoy the mono pod and what it has brought to my motorcycle camping experience.
@chrismiksovsky5871
@chrismiksovsky5871 Жыл бұрын
@@SterlingNoren Right on. Looks like you're getting a lot of varied use out of that monopod already. Turning it into a shelf/table support could just increase the utility even more. Not sure if you bring a laptop but that could become a standing desk of sorts as well. I think the fixturing is relatively doable with a bit of tinkering - the monopod does most of that work and you've already got that mounted, and this gives you more utility out of the table you're already bringing. Maybe there's even a Touratech product in there somewhere? Anyway, been enjoying these vids. I continue to be struck by the many tiny clips of you driving by on various sections of road and realize that all of those 2 second shots take probably 30+ minutes each to set up, drive back, drive by, check the footage, reshoot 'cause a car drove by, drive back for the camera etc. But it pays off - these are really a cut above other moto travelogues out there (watching 15 minutes of someone's helmet cam just gets a bit tedious, regardless of the scenery). Safe travels and all hail the Sterling Pod!

I’ve just watched a man pack his belongings in a wonderfully precise manner for a minute and a half. That’s the sort of attention to detail that grabs my interest (and I’m genuinely not being sarcastic). I’ve travelled Highway 395 from Reno to Barstow down the spine of the Sierra Nevadas and it beautiful. I took a lot longer over packing and I was using Motels… Keep up the great work it’s mesmerising content 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Sterling, if I can give You an advice - NEVER youse seasame oil for fry/stir-fry. This oil has to be eaten fresh - just use it as final topping :) Seasame oil has got very low smoke point- its dangerous. I suggest You to use avocado or olive oil to fry/stir-fry ;)

Another great vid. I agree, you deserve more followers. These couple days will be especially great for me. Twice a buddy and I had plans to ride over and back on all 3 passes that go over the Sierras on about a 5 day trip. The first planned trip got cancelled due to the very start of covid. The second one got cancelled due to the heavy clouds of smoke and one pass closure during the year of massive forest fires. The age clocking is ticking, so not sure if I will get to ever do that trip. For now I will sit back and see it through your eyes. Thanks!
