Hi Andy! deWA6PBJ (Peanut Butter and Jelly) in Grass Valley Great QSO on 3885 ( I think..hihi) this PM. I don't have a freq counter yet so I kinda guess the freq. ANyhoo...enjoyed working you and hearing about the gear! Yes...I recall a High School in the Santa Clara Valley back in the mid 60's had a Collins autotune BC rig. It ran 813's in the final and the modulator as I recall. Big glass window to these tubes. Autotune worked! It was part of their Electronics class...back in the day when such classes were taught. As I was saying on the air, I ran the mid freq TBW. Tried to get the original 400Hz motor gen set but could not find one. Wanted to run the modulator (I think it had 809's). Small mod transformer...thats 400hz for yah. 73's and will work you again on 3885 (or 3870). de WA6PBJ Dave in Grass Valley
