California Hammin' is honored to present a series of interviews (done 24 years ago) with Clayton F. (Bud) Bane, W6WB, a genuine San Francisco Bay Area radio pioneer.
Bud was editor of Radio Magazine in the 1930's, editor of the Frank Jones Radio Handbook, co-founder of Technical Radio Corporation in the late 1930's which produced receivers and transmitters for the War effort. After the War, Bud went on to hold a number of important roles in area advertising, golf, and ham radio organizations including president of the San Francisco Amateur Radio Club.
