Nice looking CHP Vehicle's, but pardon me for asking this, but I notice it has more Red Light's then it does Blue Light's, why is that?

@@skunklover5725 there was a court case where a woman claimed she looked in her mirror, and all the lights happened to be off. In California, the minimum equipment was a flashing or steady red light. After that case, it became at least one STEADY red light, facing forwards.

Nice Vehicle's, but CHP needs to put more Blue Light's on the front of their vehicle's so that I can identify them as Police Vehicle's quicker.

They can be identified as police easily without blue. The Steady Red is a burning light on the lightbar or visor light that all emergency services need to use in California. It’s range is supposed to be 1000 feet. Once the steady red is spotted, everyone knows to pull over regardless of department.

@@CobaltZ_hans - I live here in New Hampshire & our State Police Vehicles have Blue/White Lights in the front & Blue/Red Lights in the back & the same thing goes for the unmarked vehicles as well.

1:45 I just realised, I thought under NFPA fire vehicles can’t have white flash on the side? Does that only apply to big trucks or? And regardless that truck’s patterns are absolutely trash

Are you color blind? Those are blue lights and even still a lot of overhead light bars flash white on the side anyways

@@alexmatthews7706 Those are not blue. The camera’s white balance makes them appear cool white. Blue lights are very saturated and would be much more obvious. Look at 2:18 on the CHP FPIU, the fog lamp lights are white but appear cool white. Also, fire or EMS vehicles in California are not permitted to use blue.

The side lights on the ford battalion chief truck are white. However, there are several fire dept. vehicles with blue lighting in the county.
