I can never match how wonderful your presentation is of this amusement park. Knotts has changed so much from the old days. The people that saw it in the old days will always remember those times best. There are many fun things to see there still but it has really changed. We visited a few times during the week and it was always just as you saw it with very few people. Not like that on the weekend. Loved you video.

Wow that's an awesome place. But $80 for a drink and I don't think so. Being able to feel a heartbeat on your feet now that I would love to have seen. The chicken dinner idea sounds delicious. Love Knott's Berry Jams, but we have never been to California; much less Knott's Berry. We want to though. Ya'll didn't have to fight a crowd for sure. This is one theme park we have always wanted to visit because we have heard such great things about it. Knott's Berry Farm seems so great. I love all the historical aspects of the park. I don't blame you for not riding some of those crazy coasters. Straight up then straight down - i am going to pass on that too. I can ride some Disney level coasters but not any of those huge coasters like this. Seems like a weekday early in the year is the perfect time to visit. Being able to wander around a theme park without the crush of crowds is a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing it with us!

We love Knott's and I'm jealous you grew up going there! (I had the now-defunct Opryland but it wasn't super close.). The park is so well done and I love the food and shops. We don't do big roller coasters anymore either but just love Knott's. We need to get back!

Wow! What a trip down memory lane. You say you are old...I don't know how old, but I just turned 70. We lived within about half a mile of Knotts when I was in elementary school and junior high. I have not been back since. Moved to Texas for high school. But, at that time, there was nothing there, none of those rides..nothing but Berry Fields, and I recall the lopsided haunted house, but not the same one as you show now. In 1963 or so (about eight years old we were), my best friend and I used to hang out there after school. You could pick Boysenberries off the bushes (but don't get caught). There used to be a full-sized train that would go around the park's perimeter, and some guys on horseback would cause it to stop by firing blanks in the air and then walk the train as a staged hold-up. Near where they held the train up was lined with pomegranate trees. My buddy and I used to lie in wait for the hold-up guys to stop the train, and then we would sail pomegranates through the train windows. A few times, I know I hit a tourist in the head, at least once, one of the train robbers. Security was not amused and held us for the police but then let us go with a trespass warning not to return or get arrested. It took them about six times to catch us, though. True to my word, I never went back after that and haven't been back since.

Ahhhh, the old Chicken Dinner and the smell of the mine ride. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. I am sure I would not recognize Knotts anymore from what it was during my childhood ( I remember the Roaring '20's part). Is the log ride still there? At the time, that was the marquee ride.

we loved our time on Knott's Berry Park. We didn't get too excited about the roller coaster rides, we did some of the milder rides. Had photos with Snoopy. WHAT! Friggen $80. What a rip off! I remember the Old School house and The Theatre. The Guy in the Jail is hilarious. "A Stable relationship" Thank you for taking us on your Knott's berry Farm adventure. Lots of fun.
