the more I see these the more i'm interested in getting one as my first powered reel mower. I only low cut my back lawn and it's only 1500 sq feet so this seems like it would be a great choice...nice review

I think you’re mistaken about the height adjustment. The more forward, the higher the height of cut, the more back the handle is, the lower the height of cut

I have a chance to get one of these that’s in excellent shape (used very little) but it has the Briggs engine. Thoughts? I have a Honda rotary mower and it’s great. But what’s the absolute love for Honda that I am seeing on YT videos??

The Briggs is an exact clone of the Honda GX motor. The Honda is just so reliable other manufacturers try to replicate this.

@@TurfCulture Thanks for your reply. I bought it! It has been only slightly used. The blades are still bright red. He bought a lapping kit (unused) and roller for it. So I’m very happy with the deal. It rained here today so I’ll give it it’s first mow tomorrow. I have a nice rectangle of Bermuda, about 1,000’ sq. in the backyard, I’ve been working on; it’ll be a good first test bed.

Thanks for the video! I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these. How do you tell the height the height settings? It does not look like they are labeled

The owners manual specifies what the HOC is for each setting. But you are right it’s not printed on the machine anywhere.
