What do overly fed iron lawns look like? I spoon feed (liquid) 6-0-0 iron weekly along with biweekly nitrogen and it’s deep green.

I’m 75% liquid. Southern AZ rye grass, October-March spoon feeding. Back pack spray 16-4-8 every two weeks, Soil and Root Hume every two weeks, Iron 6-0-0 weekly. Will mix in milorganite monthly on an iron only week. I still rotary mow minimum 2 times/week. Looking to transition to reel once I level lawn to accept a 3/4” cut.

Not a scam for me. I use it in the spring, summer and early fall. I also created a test plot without Hydretain. The results weren’t even close. I went out and bought the Hydretain ES Plus ii this year. We will see.

House brand all day for me. Every year around November and December, lowes will clearance out some of their fertilizers. I just grabbed some 12000sqf bags of sta green 22-0-4 for $6 each. Even some scotts and major brands will be over 75% off. Always keep an eye out for those yellow price tags.

As of last year, I'm a big fan of FIREBALL perennial rye from Twin City Seed. It's a tough grass that sticks around even on my Bermuda lawn. I seeded three weeks ago with the Blackout blend, and the grass is still not dark enough compared to Fireball.

I assumed these were hedge trimmers in a string trimmer form for cutting thicker grass and light brush.

I live in northern CA , I over seeded my son's lawn a few days ago, I think I might have waited to long, the weather is perfect but the leaves are falling and covering the seeds.

How do you remove the plastic part for rear bag mowing? I press down on the clip and the larger plastic part won’t come out :/ suggestions?

The blade belt system is faulty and will smoke until it shreds the belt. This happens about 3-5 hours of use. Time Waster is more appropriate.

FYI you can buy the internal hunter check back valve for $.70 each. It’s basically a rubber grommet fixed to the bottom of the filter basket. So when the head comes down, it seals it off. I purchased a whole bag of them and install them on every hunter and orbit I have.

For the price of these things and the low power output, I’d stick to my redmax EB 7001 😉

You sprayed both of those chemicals every week for 3 weeks? I always thought if you sprayed tenacity more than once a month it would kill the grass. Any tips to kill in the fall? Not sure if your mix killed or the heat did it. I want to kill before it seeds again in the spring

Those are newer to Milwaukee. However, Red Max made these 20 years ago. We used them for crisp edges on sand traps on the golf course. They can be game changers in specific applications. Ofcourse they weren't battery powered.

I bought this mower when it first came out. It was the best mower you could buy at the time. Great power and torque. The cut quality is great and the 10ah hour batteries are awesome. I could cut my front and backyard with only 2 bars out of five. I have had issues with the start button not always starting on the first try. Now there is a new top dog. I sold my Milwaukee and bought the new ego 22 inch mower. The ego is a better mower. More torque and faster blade speed. The twin blades provide more lift for mulching. Additionally the ego is better built with an all aluminum deck. The cut quality is superior to the Milwaukee because of the twin blade. I’m able to cut my front and backyard with one bar on the 10ah battery. The Milwaukee is a awesome mower but the ego is the best mower you can buy

Just starting to switch to liquid 20-20-30 fertilizer for the 1st time. We live in Saint Louis area, Just detached the yard on Saturday. For the first time, our home is 3 years old.. was going to seed and Milorganite I use all Jonathan Green products. The seed I use is black beauty ultra. Was thinking going granular and liquid … I was also going to use tenacity because I just I just thatched last night

First week in October 3rd after grubs damage here in illinois. I scalp ,detached seed ryegrass and fert I water 12days straight 3-4x. 10mins per with the mini frost and warm up the grass is loving it. Might kill of and go tall fescue next year.

After first frost is where the people with good grass shine until winter dormancy. All the crabgrass dies and we have the only green in November. 4-4.5lbs of N, I’m just over 1lb for the year🤣.

Yea my yard been pretty brown n dried lately. Had a question about my yard, I mowed it toward end of last month with a push mower and all was even. Now from looking at it the grass in the shade seems to be longer then grass in the sunny areas. Any idea what could be causing it?
