If you leave your car parked outside in the snow, pull out your winshield wipers (like they are sticking out in the air) It saved your wipers

I love that you and your family get this chance to experience the snow. I've lived in WI for 17 years and yes i know exactly what you mean April everything is alot cheaper. There's ups and downs everywhere. But i do love living there bc of the cost of living. Now im back in Cali. ❤

That's very interesting out there in Minnesota! You say it's very cold out there like we are in Polar land and the costs of everything such as gas and groceries are less or cheap, its sounds great and I hope you are safe out there and wished you all a happy holidays.
@AprilAthena72 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much friend!
@Hetsupshut32 сағат бұрын
It's not cheaper because if you have a job here and you're located here, you get paid according to the cost here. If you live in Cali, salaries would be raised if you were remote but company based here in MN bc it's adjusting for the cost of living in Cali. So for a local living here, the wages to prices of things are extremely inflated still. A regular size of chips is near 6 to 7 dollars. Housing market is increasing in price. Gas prices rise as well. And wages aren't going up at the same rate so it's still the same issue that many Americans have concerns about. MN also has a lot of taxes unlike Florida or Texas.

I was originally born in New York and moved to Florida at the age of 23 so I lived in Fort Lauderdale for 48 years until my husband passed and I moved to North Carolina. If I could have cold weather 365 days a year I’d be thrilled. I just wish I could have snow, but it doesn’t snow here.Minnesota appeals to me, but I’ve got no family out there.

Hey there by the way I just love Home Alone which is my favorite holiday movie. It's about his family abandoned him at the home and he was in charge to defend the house from burglars that come into the house to steal everything. This movie was fun, hilarious and awesome. I enjoy it a lot, the the best thing!

San Francisco is a very expensive city. I am glad you moved to MN. The only difference is you get paid way more in Bay Area than MN.
@krisNt884 сағат бұрын
I lived in Bay Area my whole life. I love listening to your comparisons with moving to Minnesota! Can you talk more about food, diversity, and other differences you see?
@AprilAthena72 сағат бұрын
Of course I will happily share while living here!
@Hetsupshut3Сағат бұрын
MN isn't that diverse as an entire state. The most diversity you'll see are in the twin cities, Minneapolis and St Paul with many cultures of Hispanics, Somali, Native Americans, African Americans, Hmong, and more. They'll have a lot of restaurants and stores and events. I love the food from the twin cities as they have many cultural cuisines available. I don't think I'd survive without it. Once you start venturing out to the suburban cities, it's almost 100% white. MN is more quiet and relaxed compared to California and the people are more respectful and reserved, "MN nice". There's not that much to do here compared to other states. You could go to a concert, or nutcracker or some winter festivals. The statefair here happens yearly which is a highlight everyone waits for. There's the Mall of America as well or the Asian mall. Could catch a movie as they have some theaters.

I live in the Bay Area. And sorry but I’ve never paid 100 dollars for 4 entree of Chinese food. Most Chinese food entree are 13-15 dollars at most at ur local Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area.

We use a snow brush to clean to snow off, and with the opposite end of the brush we scrape the ice off. Pro tip. Warm your car for about 10 minutes before you leave and the ice snow will be easier to clean off and you can come back to a warm car. ❤
