We found a place to sleep in Oxnard, CA ! Thanks for all the help last night!

Thanks for the update on California, are you going to be covering the northwest in the next day or two? I'm curious as to show what the pna shows right now too. I know its far too early to predict anything, but one of my local meteorologists said that snow and cold were possible in the last week of January.

I watched your livestream in Santa Barbara last night (actually, you had already finished 'live', but it was 'nearly live' when I saw it). I kept shouting at the computer "The Biltmore is just down the street, go there" (a bit expensive, but what a place!). I can attest to those boulders crashing down the wash. About 40 years ago, we lived in Monrovia (a town just east of Pasadena Ca). Similar rain storm. There was a wash about a block away (slightly larger than the wash you were at last night). We (my wife and I) walked over to it 'to watch'. It was moving as fast as yours --- anything caught in it would have been killed almost instantly. BUT: The boulders washing down ---- sounded (and felt like) thunder. The ground was literally shaking. It is one of those things you will never forget, and will be glad that you were there to experience Mother Nature. I now live just east of Sacramento, and at 3:35 last night, the storm hit here. Very short, but very strong. Lightning and thunder, HUGE rain and hail --- I could barely see my shop, which is about 50 feet from my bedroom window (and was lit up by my now-on motion sensor lights). A couple of skunks were frightened out and were 'running around in circles, obviously frightened out of their minds'). Anyway, thanks for all your broadcasts --- you are better than ANY local news weather broadcasts.

I remember when I was first married that my husband and I considered getting a houseboat. That doesn't seem to be a bad idea Today. Or have a car that can also turn into a boat, and houses on stilts, or high cinder blocks, and a solar powered generator or solar panels. Ummm. Many prayers for the people in California going through all this weather madness. I Remember visiting California, as I'm in the East Coast, and I went to see my sister, and I Absolutely fell in love with it. It was so beautiful. So, I hope that the rain will stop and everyone can get back on track again and be Safe. That the beauty of this Gorgeous State can be restored with it's wonderful charm. Amen!

We got a tornado warning alert at 4 am this morning in Toulumne county and by 4:45 one came through but didn't touch down. Thunder, lightning, hail, and 100 miles an hour wind and all gone in ten minutes. I lived in the Midwest and a lot of them don't touch ground and blow overhead.

Hi, I don't know if you'll see this but, I thought I'd give it a shot. I live 1 hour south of the Oregon border on the Coast in Humboldt county CA. Our weather coverage is next to nothing. If you look up Northern CA weather or forecast you won't find anything really further north than wine country. We're not southern Oregon, we're not northern California to weather people. We're exciting if we have an earthquake but forecasting our real weather just doesn't seem to happen. My request, could you possibly take us into account when you're forecasting? I watch your chanel religiously and have to make my own forecast predictions from your footage. We're just glazed over by everyone. NOAA rarely gets it right. It looks like we're about to get a lot of rain. No one is talking about it other than "Northern California" we're the real-real Northern California. We need some real help. Thank you for what you do. C
