California Weather: Cool-Down incoming!

Howdy from Alpine, CA. On the 8th, I had a sudden rain storm that was centered right on Alpine for about a 2 mile circle, was amazing. Received about 1" of rain in an hour, the drops were HUGE. 2 days before that a new record for my patio was 108.4 degrees!!! We are now in our 6th day I think of over 100. Cheers and love the channell!

Thanks Michael, today we saw a good indicator or the extended NorCal heat on our trip back home to Shasta Lake from Redding. When the haze is clear enough, there is a good view of the top of The Lonely Mountain, Mt. Shasta, from Hiway 5. Usually the top is mostly white, but today through the haze the only white left was thin scraggly vertical stripes of the valleys left in the shadows...

Something to consider, the SF Bay area has a HUGE population so including San Jose area weather info would be of interest to many in the area, SF weather is it's own micro-climate but San jose, east and west bay cities in some of your weather info may interest more people. You already focus on LA basin with it's large population center, so SF bay is another area to consider adding for Northern California.
