I am from California and it is breaking my heart to see my beautiful mountains going up in flames !! it will take the land decades to heal itself and grow back !!!!

This is the result of California’s lack of forest management and arson.

Yes I agree. California used to be such a beautiful, wonderful place !! now parts of the state look like a third world country and other parts are going up in flames !!! @@Toekneepowers

@@tomjoad3034 I lived in the Bay Area for decades, loved camping in the sierras. From bass lake to the trinity river are some of my favorite places on earth. Very sad how much devastation has accrued.

@@Toekneepowers my favorite place in the whole world where I spent a good deal of my Summers as a youth is the little mountain town of Truckee which isn't so little anymore and Donner Lake where the snow melt water is so cold it will make your hands go numb within 30 seconds !! I haven't been back there in 25 years And I miss it dearly !!!

These are the public servents I stand behind. Many of whom are volunteers. They truely put their lives on the line every time they go out on a call.

National forest land, Calfire can only do what the USFS recommends. They get kneecapped and are pretty much on structure duty. Or else there’d be a dozer in there cutting out a break.

FTF is the USFS NOT doing in our forests??? Nothing. That all should have been thinned years ago. And where is the bulldozer? Almost a joke.

@@mahcaebnivek2610 they only thin small sections and do nothing to maintain it after. I was up there a week before the fire started and it looked overgrown; while the logging company land had healthy looking trees, that were evenly spaced and perfect.

They should have done a bunch of selective cut logging in there. They wouldn't have near the crown run they have now and got some lumber out of it. Now you just have a pile of ash and no timber for probably at least 20yrs.
