15+ minutes prog rock? I was prepared to be bored and leave early. I am still here and I'm going to listen to it again and check out the album. Wow. This was beautiful and not at all boring. And the saxophone in the last part took it one notch higher. Creative and so talented. Two thumbs up!

It is so fun to see your reactions, to see the same awe that fans love so much. A couple occasions you had an open mouth smile which is the happiest kind. Caligula’s Horse makes me feel the same way.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time I've listened to it about 1000 times since it came out and I still get chills and occasionally tears, one of the best and most underrated bands out there you should definitely check out more of their catalog.

I was late to the party too getting into this band finding them last year. I was fortunate to catch them live in a sweaty rock club in Glasgow, Scotland where they played an intimate show to about 200 of us. They were simply incredible live , Jim's vocals were so constantly on point and his presence had us eating out of the palm of his hand. The band were so tight , I was blown away , especially by Sam's guitar work which whilst being as technical as Petrucci finds so much more emotion....IMO ... in the league of Gilmore or Rothery.. ... Basically, they are simply the dogs bollocks.... (I saw Dream Theater in a similar venue in Glasgow on the Images and Words tour in 93), and have long thought that my favourite Scottish gig, was my Caligulas Horse gig better... the very fact I'm asking myself that question..... ?!!... Wow.

Always loved C-Horse. They really put the songwriting at the forefront but still knock your socks off on occasion when they want to. I don't know their guitarists name but his tone and phrasing is to die for. They also write really good lyrics. Glad you checked this one out. I'd love to hear your opinion on the song "Dream the Dead" from them.

Australia has so much good bands to offer:Calligulas horse, Butterfly Effect, Be Lacor, Ne Obliviscaris,.... Still missing from this list: Butterfly Effect, a real big band in Australia, unknown in the rest of the world. Worlds on fire is a real good song. Rishloo reminds me sometimes on butterfly effect.

loved your reaction! this song is the bohemian rhapsody of prog metal! someone had mentioned them in a forum so i checked them out, turns out there from a place that is an hours drive from me! love all their albums and can’t wait to see them live this August for $25, what a bargain!! the singer has another band called Arcane, worth a listen too. if you guys haven’t heard much out of australia, you need to check out Karnivool, type in deadman, such an epic song! also other bands worth checking out are: Cog, the butterfly effect, dead letter circus, 12 foot ninja...that’s all i can think of now

Wow, to be honest, I had heard a couple songs from Bloom but I wasn't too impressed up until this point. Marigold sounds like some kind of discount Opeth, like very similar to White Cluster. Their style in past albums had not resonated with me, but this I feel was on a whole new level. I will definitely give Caligula's Horse another chance.
