It is a degree of scales he is using instead of chords. I = Tonic (Major) ii = Super tonic (minor) iii = Mediant (minor) IV = Subdominant (Major) V = Dominant (Major) vi = Submediant (minor) vii = Leading tone (deminished) And 8 is back to I = Tonic/Octave (Major) It depends on your root chord. Example: C Tonic is C (Root) Supertonic is dm (d minor) Mediant is em (e minor) Subdominant is F (F Major) Dominant is G (G Major) Submediant is am (a minor) Leading tone is b° (b deminished) Tonic is C (Octave) Follow the same pattern in other chords.

I love the delay he is using. I love the Timeline. Ive researched it alot and really liked what i hear about it. Its to bad its like 400-500 dollars. But its worth it. Its a great delay pedal. The delay he is using on the Timeline is an Ice Delay and a Dotted Eight Delay.

Bluesky shimmer and Ice on the timeline are very similar. I have the bluesky and can get the same sound as on the recording. Chances are you can use the timeline for that as well, though.

this is probably what it really sounds like man. You have to remember that everything they do, even live, is produced/ mixed afterward. In a live setting it wouldnt sound like this...it would blend well.
