I watched this guys whole NBA career, he played against 6 '10 and 7 foot centers and power forwards in the toughest defensive era, and in 17 years of Pro level competition, I never seen him miss a lay up, not one time. EASILY, One of the best finishers around the basket of all time!

Them days in The District w/ C Webb + Howard were amazing, Rod Strick was next level

Strick is one of my favorite PG’s off all time. The way he finished at the rim was incredible. I’ll never understand how he didn’t make the all star team in 97-98… When I first saw Kyrie, I said he reminded me of Strick - when I found out he’s Kyrie’s godfather, it all made sense. He hooped like Rakim rhymes, a virtuoso- master of his craft.

Yea they are - I was born in 1981 so guys like Strickland were in the league in the 90s when I was a teenager - we use to hear all kinds of stories about these guys but social media was around so you really didn't know how much of those stories were true - I been waiting a long time to hear his story and adventures - Vernon Maxwell is another guy that I would love to hear from - don't get me wrong, I am a Michael Jordan fan forever - but I want to hear the stories of Chris Jackson, Latrell Sprewell, and those cats

Strick is the reason i fell in love wit the game. I was a little kid growing up in the Chi, staying up late to watch those Ray Meyer Depaul teams on channel 9. His game was so smooth I was hooked. Real talk.

I got this thing I been doing for a hot min.. I keep sticky notes with inspired positive sayings on it . The reason I do this , it keeps me on track by keeping my mind wise as a proactive reminders. By doing this daily practice I started to ultimately learned that my inner peace doesn't mean I'll always be in a place where there is no noise, no hate , chaos, or life challenges that I will have to deal with. It taught me that being in the midst of all these things and still being capable of maintaining a healthy mindset is the real bag

I saw Rod about 10 years ago. I said you should be coaching the Knicks and you have help here in NY. I mentioned some names and he said You should have been an agent! Great guy and he remembered some friends we played with in Co-Op city.

Damn Rod hit it on the head 🎯 not just with ball if u good at something, easily excelling like it's natural without good habits, it catches up at some point....then u stuck for a min. Like skimming through school acing shit then getting to college like "yo I actually gotta study....."

That's funny what Harvey Grant told Rod about Lithuania because it's the same exact thing my back court partner Dave Edwards (RIP) told me when he came back from playing in Lithuania. He was like yo TP that ish is horrible over there. It's the worse! 😅😅😅

Great video ,one of the greatest players at his position both mentally and athletically....Never back peddling on the floor, constantly in attack mode and the opponent is always guessing where he's going.A true" cerebral "point guard....
