It sounds easy but it isn’t. Rod perfected the skill of keeping himself between his defender and the ball like no other PG I have ever seen. The only PG’s that were as fast and maybe one or two faster moving full speed ahead dribbling and change directions on a dime, Earl The Pearl, Tiny Archibald, Magic, Zeek & J Kidd. Rod and J Kidd are my two favorite PG’s all time!!!!!

Should have won a National Champ at Depaul along with Aguirre and Cummings which, oh, by the way, those two were #1 picks but Strick had a nasty quick dribble and could get to rim anytime he wanted (he was a shorter A.I.) and, yeah, kept his body between you and the ball. I lived in Chi for a while off 75th and Cottage back in the day. Definitely under-rated when PG's were pure.
