This is a Great Video. Not only in terms of the information but also from the technical point of view. You shot the video with a high professional effort. The light is perfect, there’s nothing to disturb observing you doing the exercises. It looks easy and I totally understand your instructions but it is damn hard performing such a fundamental exercise like the chin or pull up the way you do it. Thanks for the explanations.

Make sure to engage your scapula before doing pullups. If not, the dead hang angle will be bad for your shoulders over time. There is no substitute for these workouts! I’ve been working them for years, now I can get up to 36 pullups (not strict) in one set. Keep working my friends!
@kajuanweaver16072 жыл бұрын
How would you recommend doing this, I do my pull ups regularly so I’m trying to avoid long term injuries
@alex.pendleton2 жыл бұрын
@@kajuanweaver1607 while hanging from the bar, pull up very slightly only using your shoulder blades (arm should still be locked out). This should move the tension from your shoulders to your upper back. A good visualization that helps is to lean back a little and focus on getting your sternum to the bar. Most people just hang directly under the bar and try to pull straight up until their chin gets over the bar, which will stress your shoulders over time.

It's all about functional strength you can be buff or thin like this guy's but if you don't train functional movements like these exercises you can't do them perfectly even if you are strong

Pull ups made my back waaaay wider. I do 30 and 30 for both (til failure until I hit 30 total) for each every back day (2x a week). It's changed my frame for sure.

I’d like to be better at pull up because it’s more practical in life or death situations. If I fall of a bride, roof, scaffolding or something and happen to grab onto something, I’ll have most likely grabbed it over hand and not underhandedly.
