awesome podcast! really loved the specificity part as i myself found trapped in be too specific and was negatively affecting me, now as i move towards more “raw” / general strength i find myself stronger in the specific bodyweight movements

@@FrinksmovementTV carry over of big 3 (bench dead squat) to calisthenics. Using weightlifting to cover lagging muscles (where calisthenics lacks) 2 good ideas :)

Podcast is great... lot of usefull information... i have 1 suggestion tho... try to be more playfull and compliment people u are questioning.... they are allways so serious when talking to you... just compliment them... make them feel like they did something that many people are striving to archive ( calisthenics archivements ) it gonna be good for podcast..

Thank you 👍 Good suggestion! However I think its obvious I have my biggest respect to all people I invite ;)

If my goal is to do a Front Lever, Back Lever, a Muscle Up and a solid handstand.... is it still hindering strenght training and vice versa? Learned a lot from this man! Thank you for this video!!
@FrinksmovementTV4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Not exactly, but it definitelly require some sort of specificity - and while for muscle up and handstand it doesnt have to be the case (you can implement them to your normal training or get the move - like muscle up just by training general strength and attempting it from time to time - planche and front lever usually require some sort of specialization at some point - which is gonna have to take a lead over general strength training. If you are begginer - just train it along with your strength training - when you are more advanced you may think of some kind of periodization - watch my episode 4 of calisthenics programming

19:38 Man what kind of thinking is this??
@Francesco_Di_Pereira2 жыл бұрын
10:26. This is false. The best calisthenics athletes are gymnasts, and do they train their legs...
