To reply to all of you asking about diet, these are my thoughts: I generally keep it as simple as possible: To get in shape I am just having a moderate steady deficit for a longer period, no jojo bulking and cuts. Then to stay in shape I just keep at balanced level relative to my need/consumption (activity level). For example now, I am not on some kind of special diet, just sufficient energy and I prefer concentration to the interval of my workouts. And to stay in this shape/weight I just keep my intake at balance. If I would like to gain more weight, same thing moderate and steady daily excess over longer period. But everyone needs to know all this is very individual (activity level etc) and based on personal data to calculate daily consumption and so on. So it does not matter how many calories your friend eats and how he/she looks like. What matters is who you are and your activity level. Generally it's a very long process to get in good overall shape (remember I have been working for a very long time). So don't try search for some kind of holy grail, magic food or a secret number/combination of macros. It's the lifestyle and the long term consistency that is important for the results. Have patience and spend a lot of time learning about yourself and your body. That is how I see it and I hope it gave you a few hints for now. Kris

Damn, dude. Most videos I see of people doing a muscle-up, they swing their legs to actually get above the bar, but you do it pretty much just with the upper body. That's impressive.
@normanhenderson73005 жыл бұрын
It is a textbook style of doing muscle ups. I use to do them regularly 10 or so years ago. I watched other guys for years use an explosive force to lift up to get over the bar, wrong!

Oh, bro. That's huge! And plus, your comment about diet was superb. Each body reacts differently. But I would say there are some powerful foods: Fish, chicken, quinoa, pineapple, banana, broccoli, boiled eggs, cress, and ofcourse, water. Another indispensable thing is to sleep well, 7 to 9 hours a day. Congratulations for all your teachings and for the video. I will save it on favourites, that's for sure. Do you live in Sweden? Have facebook? c you!

Hi Kris, I just switched doing just calisthenics. Your video's really help and inspire! Thanks a lot, man. The only thing I've noticed is that I need far more recovery time/rest days than doing a full body workout with weights. Is that common? Last week I went full out for the first time with max reps, doing pulls and pushes. It felt great. Now, 3/4 days later, I can't even do half! Any tips? Thanks a lot in advance.
@CalisthenicsWeightTraining9 жыл бұрын
Sokarijo.Diaries Cool :) Well in the beginning you will probably feel very sore just by switching what training you are doing. And specially going "full out", depends how it looks like and individually but around a week to recover would not be impossible, and even more. So don't worry, just find a balance that works :)
