This is one of the best films I've ever watched. A well-told story of love and heartbreak and sacrifices and betrayal and forgiveness. When the movie ends, there is a desire of wanting to see more. Time well spent. Now, I'll search the internet if there is a book on this story.

Moral of the story: Secrets, lies and guile, they will ensure that one doesn't understand and suffer the consequences of the secrets, lies and deception of others. Full information is the best foundation on which to build social relations. Older people, especially parents, often think that they know best with their secrets, lies and guile. They don't! Mainly just selfish!

I don't understand it....why educational people should always thought as a privileged for happiness ..unle Wang should have both returned to the city. They are adults whose happiness is upon their hands...not fair..nit my hapoy ending

This movie is like a koan. The Chinese term for a Buddhist pithy saying (e.g., "'What?' is the sound of one hand clapping.") is gong'an, 公案. Beyond that, you have to watch the movie. Or it could be a gravely defective movie. I put a lot of faith in the green screen at the beginning.
