This was the only stealth mission that scared me when I first played this.Only Captain Price and Captain MacMillan against an army of Russians,only having suppressed sniper rifles,the onymous soundtrack in the background,this and the second part of the mission when you have to carry MacMillan all the way to the evac point when he gets crippled by the crashing helicopter.

Its been 6 years I've been watching this and I never get bored. Im going to Chernobyl and visit Pripyat one day, just like I did here and I don't care if there's radiation, I will die to see this, you only live once.

A lot of people forget that the Pripyat mission is 2 separate missions. This one I think is one of the easiest in the series. It's pretty straight forward. Just follow MacMillan. The next level, however, is freaking tense. Trying to stay alive at the end when you're waiting for the evac to arrive is amazing. When you see that helicopter touch down is one of the most rewarding feelings ever in a video game.

+Michael Brush And then you die while coming to rescue MacMillan. I swear this game plays us. I was playing this one (hadn't died yet. I was surprised too). I see helicopter touch down. Blasted a lot of people by C4 detonation. Then i come out from behind that platform type with these electric cars and tada. A grenade kills me. It gave me i think some 2 milliseconds of reaction time and then boom. It blasted my ass. I knew the strategy and had an ak so completed the part second time successfully but boy wasn't i pissed at that grenade.

Everyone know World at War and it's grenade spamming, but people forget the grenades in this one are pretty rediculous as well.

I think also call of duty 4 is hard when it comes to time limits, like in the mission Heat, you have 4 minutes to go to the LZ, but there is so many enemies that keep coming, it took me so many attempts and i go to the lz with 30 seconds.

That "radiation thing" is called a Geiger counter, and of course Price would be carrying one. Inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, there are major pockets of radiation in all sorts of locations. The reason why Price's Geiger counter was going off was because the junkyard they were in was filled with vehicles used in the cleanup of ChNPP Reactor 4. They were left there to rot due to the large amount of radioactive particles that stuck to said vehicles. This made them radiological threats, so they were ultimately abandoned after ChNPP Reactor 4 was effectively contained.

i love how this game does a back story mission which is super fun. black ops 1 had one but it wasn't anything rememberable, black ops 2 did a good job of it since it does help progress how and why the situation was like that. i also love how price says "it was the first time our government had authorized an assassination order since the second world war"
