So just a few things for those wondering: The canon ending is a strange mixture of things. First Menendez survives, and his anarchists spark mass protests in the US, which eventually stops after a long period of time. Woods dies just over a year later from old age, so any ending with Menendez killing woods isn't cannon. For no reason Menendez is still alive in BO4 like 25 years later. I BELIEVE that Mason surviving IS cannon although im not sure. Seems pretty fan-servicy though the way its shot. What i dont get is where WAS mason for 30 years?

I'm guessing the next Cod will be MW2 (2021)? In that case, I hope they do show David Mason, and maybe he'll work alongside the others in the new TF141.

I like the parallel with mason saying about David’s scar, on the surface it’s about the incident with the tree, but on a deeper level it’s David’s trauma about Mendez ruining his life. Yet despite all he went through David did the right thing and saved everyone. Alex giving him closure Is perfect.

Actually the canon ending is the one where you kill Menendez. If you read about Menendez on the computer in the safehouse in BO3, it says that he was killed by David. Also the violent riots sparked by his death are part of the reasons why the world state is so bleak in BO3.

I don't know, can we even consider Bo3 canon? It really doesn't tie in a sequel to BO2 at all. Hell for all we know it could be a sequel to a non-canon ending. I do like the games campaign because it makes you find the twist yourself, but doesn't really connect to anything else.

The canon ending is that Menendez is killed and shot by David while trying to escape disguised as a soldier Navy Seal in the mission Judgment Day, Haïti in 19th June 2025. Also, there is in BO3 terminal an info about it. Edit: About Mason and Karma, i have no idea but i hope they are alive both of them.

You got the ending where Menendez broke out of prison (and killed Woods) is because you either failed to rescue Karma or she died (either she was killed by Salazar or DeFalco if you choose to save Harper instead of killing him as Farid) and you choose to spare Menendez.

Alternatively, if she survived, she can still die if you kill Admiral Briggs as Raul Menendez and/or failed to complete Strike Force missions where she will die when the US aircraft carrier (where she was in) was destroyed.

You mean Karma? In the mission Karma if you catch up to DeFalco, you can save Chloe early, if not an extra strike force mission will appear for rescuing her. After that you need to kill Harper in Achilles Veil so Karma doesn 't get kill in the later mission. In short, Karma lives, Harper dies

Dont shoot kravchenko and let woods shoot him on old wounds. Get the cia memo on menendez compound on time and fate. Complete all strike force mission. Get all intel on fallen angel and dont get harpers face burned. Shoot harper instead of menendez. Shoot the bagged person that you thought is menendez in the leg 2-3 times on suffer with me. kill defalco on the level 'karma' if u failed, do second chance, if u failed again, then u cant save karma anymore. Shoot briggs in the leg. Finish cordis die, capture menendez instead of killing him.

I still think the best ending is when Woods and Section visit Alex’s grave. It’s sucks that he died, but with Section learning the lesson of how war effected him and Woods it becomes a bitter-sweet ending. I do like Alex being alive, although it’s a bit cheesy. They are both good though. (Still like the other one)
