Hey Ink, I have another theory on the good ending. What if at the end of the game, Adler and bell shot each other, that would explain why he doesn’t show up along with bell, if bell all ready knew about Alder’s “betrayal”(since, he drew the gun at the same time) he could have just well timed it, plus the bullet still takes a little bit of time to travel meaning that bell had plenty of time to pull the trigger since he already had the gun drawn. Edit: I know people don’t really care about this game anymore but I thought I would just bring it up and I know Adler is an operator in multiplayer.

Until we stopped the nukes I still wasn’t sure if I had picked the “good ending” or not and even then after Adler tries to kill Bell it crossed my mind again the possibility of him being bad, which is why the first thing I did after finishing the campaign was come here to see the alternative endings.

Guys, don’t do what Adler tells you in the second the last mission when that whole brainwashing thing is going down. If you do the exact opposite of what he tells you every time, he’ll get frustrated and it’ll open up an awesome zombies Easter egg. There will be a latch open up when you decide to turn right instead of turning left to go into the cave. That latch will lead you into rat tunnels where you see a figure go by with screaming. Follow that figure and you’ll be taken into a pitch black pit where you hear screams and gurgling all around you, then zombies will begin to surround you. You can hold out for a bit but you’ll eventually die and the game ending sound/ music from the original WaW, Bo1, and Bo2 zombies maps will play. I believe I most definitely shit my pants but it was the coolest Easter egg I’ve ever encountered in a Call of Duty game.

Yeah it wasn’t malicious, it was for the better of the group and for society because if one of their top operatives decides to flip sides, Bell having the highest chance by far, it was for saftey. This was going to be a Sledgehammer game up until may of last year when Activision pulled the plug on Sledge and broke them down and had them work under Treyarch and Infinity Ward. So realistically Treyarch had to scrap most of Sledgehammer's story beats and spend 8 months filling in those gaps to make this a Black Ops title and frankly it's sloppy as shit.

"Bell" technically doesn't have a good ending, in any of them. Go to Duga, dont tell Perseus, dead. Go to Duga, tell Perseus, kill everyone, biggest bad guy in the world. Go to Solo-whatevery-ky save the day, get killed by Adler. And to know that one of those endings is canon sucks even more.

Well considering we know Mason and Woods are alive from The Original BO series we know the Evil ending isn’t canon and because Imran Zakyev is in the game linking it to modern warfare we also know that none of the nukes actually go off because London exists in the Modern warfare campaign, along with most of Europe. TL;DR because we know the future the ‘bad’ endings are irrelevant

Although there IS a clear "good guy vs bad guy" theme here, Perseus still kind of has a sound motive. Hiding nukes under tons of major cities sounds shady as hell, and America doesn't have a really clean track record. So from their standpoint, it's somewhat understandable. Setting off the nukes isn't so understandable but them hating America is.

Perseus lets the Europe finally understand the risks of having an ally and "protector" who hides tactical nuclear mines in your cities. Sure, people would die but NATO falls apart, USA would fall into horrific political and financial crisis and Cold war actually ends (on Soviet terms). Especially since the CIA didn’t want Bell killed and actually liked him for telling the truth.
