BOCW was the first COD game I enjoyed since BO2. And the zombies is super solid. It sucks that the game was rushed through development though. If Treyarch could pull BOCW off with only 6 months of development, then I’m excited for COD 2024.

Honestly the game isn't so bad. 150 HP, 3-way Lanes, return of classic maps. I think one of my arguments about the game is the time setting of some of the guns.

I think what Cold War doesn't get enough credit for is the blending of animation styles; the edgy, "tacticool" style of the new MW games, as well as the dramatic, flashy, and less weighted style of old. Our character uses all the weapons with efficiency and expertise but still goes for the cinematic framing and flourish. For fans of either approach, there's some satisfaction to be had from it. Only critique; some animations are clearly just sped up or slowed down to make them statistically better/worse for certain mag choices, instead of actually making our character reload differently. Then again, they had like 15 minutes to make this game after SHG dropped the ball with the project.

The problem is that most of the animations exist in a state of "half finished", where movements aren't blended together and extra polish and finish haven't been applied. The end results are a few good animations, and several that are more "start and stop", where the guns go from moving to static in an abnormal way. I feel they could have been better with more time to bake.

I think my favorite animations might be the AMP63 and MAC-10 because of how smooth (and normal) they move, M79 for the cartoony reload, and the MG82 for how heavy it looks.

Bocw was initially going to be releases before mw19 , but acti went fuck it , Treyarch was rushed and delayed and so mw19 got out first . But finally in 2023 , bocw is the only game worth playing in the warzone era call of duty

Only thing that bothers me about the game are the names that are given to the guns. Doesn't feel exciting to unlock a favorite weapon from the original black ops when it's called something dumb since a gun called a "Commando" sounds a lot cooler

From a technical standpoint BOCW is technically and graphically inferior to MW2019. It is an improved version of BO4, which is why it was unsafe to play CW for a time because it lacked security improvements introduced with MW2019 engine.

I thought Cold War was a decent game. However whilst playing it I was repeatedly left dumbfounded as to how could you possibly make a Cold War themed game and leave out Cold War classics such as the Dragunov, FAL, RPK, PKM, G3 and Makarov? Hell if the developers wanted to make some really cool additions the G33 and first Gen Glocks were around at the time of the game’s setting. Despite that small gripe, overall am decently satisfied with the end product, and looking forward to where Treyarch takes us
