I absouletly adore the art design of Infinite Warfare. From the ships to the space stations and colonies: Everything blends in perfectly. It doesn't feel like super sci-fi like Star Trek or Mass Effect, but instead you see it and think, "Yeah..I can totally see that happening in fifty years."

I am also impressed by the new Mass Effect, very realistic design of the Tempest, no stupid over-the-top sci-fi where everything consists of light plattforms and death rays and stuff like that but a very realistic and beautyfull Star Citizen like ship. The new Mass Effect and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare are the most beautyful space ship games avaiable right now, too bad that every Infinite Warfare DLC was just some Multiplayer trash and no precious single player missions or campain extensions :(

Biggest gripe is how much IW was held down to the CoD name. The Ship Assault missions were amazing in the campaign. Imagine if there was a multiplayer mode that allowed the boarding of enemy ships. Basically could have made their own take on the space battles in the original Battlefront II. Taking a Jackal and assaulting the perimeter defenses before attacking the bridge. Filling up a Raven and assaulting the hangars. There's so much there design wise that would have made IW a huge hit for scifi games.

@@HighTierWitches It could still be the Martians, with the events taking place after the events of the first game. Most likely you'd play as Salter as you try to regain control over the Solar System. Both the UNSA and SDF fleets have been devastated, so Salter and the other UNSA forces would be desperately fighting with whatever space-based assets they have left to capitalize on their victory in orbit over Mars, Pyrrhic as it was, and strike an even more decisive blow against the SDF. Ideally, a better villian could exist in this hypothetical second game than Kotch was, cuz Kotch as the Antagonist was easily the one really bad part of Infinite Warfare.

@@chef2042 - Not logical at all. Space is a domain that requires a separate branch where it made sense to have it under the Air Force given how much real world control the AF had of space systems. The Navy doesn't have a strong space presence, so the logical step was to create the Space Force and place it under the AF. We are nowhere near having spaceships like you see in Sci-Fi or in Infinite Warfare, and the Sci-Fi writers have always gotten it wrong with centering everything around the Navy and Marine Corps with respect to space. It would ALWAYS have been a joint military organization under a Space Command where units from those services would be detailed or permanently assigned to the Space Command. Army and Marine Corps combat units would have been ground combat elements and carrying out the same duties as one fighting force under the Space Command because tactics in space would be entirely different than being on a planet. The Navy would also have their assets (like specially designed boats and other watercraft) on Space Command vessels where they would deploy on planets where there are oceans or large bodies of water for ships to navigate and transport troops to different areas on the planet. We (the real military) work jointly ALL THE TIME depending on the scale of the operation. For the futuristic stuff, it would always be a joint venture when talking about space operations. If we ever get to that level in the future, it would be the Space Force controlling everything and the other branches working underneath them. All spaceships, pilots, and crew, would be under the Space Force, while the other branches would provide combat and combat support elements for military operations.

I'm a CoD fan. And in my headcanon this fits in the wider CoD universe as "ok this is us in the far future". When the likes of Price, Ghost, Soap, are remembered as legends of old, discussed in history e-books proscribed to the schoolchildren - our many-times-great-descendants - of a distant tomorrow.

One of the best games I have ever played! U.S.S. Nimitz or U.S.S. Constallation based design for the destroyers and space gliders based on F-117 and YF-22. Such an awesome and superb game and so super-immersive, and the graphics is the best I have ever seen. I really hope they plan some expansions for this superb game with some creepy singleplayer zombie missions on abandoned creepy bases (hey the already re-made the marines drop scene from James Camerons Aliens 2 and I was really expecting some Xenomorphs on this Jupiter moon mission :D )

The technological Enginuity of the sci-fi concept as whole from this game is breathtaking. It saddens me; we will never see real life space capable ships because we'd be dead by then. Hey ! As a futur Carrier Deck Officer in the French Navy, and living like.. 2km away from Geneva , this game really touch me a lot. The attention to detail, the realism etc.. They really studied how Carriers work and how space work to mix them up. I recognise real type of process we use on Carrier. Also the atmosphere to orbit tech is really « realistic » like yeah Jackal must go to space ? Ok then we ignite 6 powder trhuster (really more efficient than the one we have in 2025) and yeah it goes to orbit the we drop them. Then when back on the deck we replace them with new one. Nahhh bro this is cool as fuck and I really can imagine that type of tech in like 150/200 years can work with a SSTO Fighter. Same for the Carriers and Cruisers we saw, They igniste huuuuge reactor, no « no gravity shit » to go to space, it use a lot of fuel and you must resupply with the fleet. A lot of things seems « legit » futur tech, like it works like today, but way more efficient because we are 200 years in the future, but still replies on tech that exist nowadays. I love this game so much and beg for a suit or a mod were we can visiti the whole Retribution and Tigris and the rest of the fleet. Alors when I discover this game as a kid, it really touch me because of the attack on Geneva, really 2km from were I live, even if the city is realistic, I recignise some old architecture I knew, it really makes me angry against the SetDef 😂, In the mission were we kill Salen Kotsch I remember replaying it many times to kill him before, during, and after his speech. Also I’d really like to get more lore around this game, like were do they park those huge fleet, what about the other cruisers we saw during the parade, what about their supply fleet and the rest of the carriers fleet, retribution is not the only one they got.

Is there anyone else annoyed by the fact that Infinite Warfare's vehicles and ships have VERY little information? Seriously I want to know more about the vehicles like the Raven, APC, Destroyers, etc; but there is no information on them, i.e. carrying capacity, armaments, and dimensions. Maybe its just me, but I feel like if you create new vehicles, you should create the specifications and lore for those vehicles as well.

And finally the former best player "safehouse", the U.S.S. Retribution from Infinite Warfare, has been dethroned by the newest flagship of all safehouses / player bases / player ships, the fully explorable submarine EVAS HAMMER from Wolfenstein new Colossus. If you love (space) ships like I do, a superb sightseeing tour between pipes tubes valves pumps machines and computer terminals with several floors awaits..... In Infinite Warfare you can mostly run around in two rooms only (bridge and captains quarter) with no private rooms or decks or engine room to explore, but Evas Hammer is a fully explorable detailled submarine where every one of the beloved sailor comrades has his or her own cabin to check out. Pure perfection.
