Lol yea kinda funny really considering how graphic intensive Battlefield is with insane SFX and destruction being one of the core mechanics in the game, yet still not a big as what Call of dutys doing. Enough with the WW2, Vietnam, Middle East settings already. There are already a bunch of FPS games with those settings. Y'all know you want a fictional modern/near future setting like BF3 and BF4. The setting of BF3 was the War of 2014 in the Battlefield novel (between US and Iran, with Russia also involved) The setting of BF4 was the War of 2020 in the Battlefield novel (between US, Russia, and China). These settings are similar to the real world's current conflicts. For the next BF, just put China/Russia/Iran/North Korea on one side, and put NATO/Asian US allies on the other side, then we're good to go. Everyone can fight it out with keyboard/mouse/controller instead of real nuclear and hypersonic stuffs 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lilmanike true, but that’s pretty logical too. One has to focus on sound design for four infantry classes, boats, aircraft, tanks and helis as well as all the different destructable materials and the commander mode call-ins etc... Cod can focus on just infantry and eventual killstreak vehicles

it really doesnt bf4 is way better compared to the new cod MW and ground war is awful like he mentioned that the alleys seem full and lots of places to take cover but almost no one is in those alleys its good map design its just shitty players that that force you to go this one path all of the time which is sad from what ive seen of the maps they are beautiful but 80% of the time im just walking to a objective with no interactions with players on the other team only to get 3/4 there and the point is already captured and the next objective to go attack is where you just came from across the map . so honestly the ground war is the #1 worst thing in the game and i absolutley HATE ground war its the saddest excuse for a ground war/conquest game and i have a lot of hours in the battlefield games for instance (sorry if its seems like im flexing im not trying to) for hour in bf4 i have 134 in my first account then i maybe have another 500 hours on my second account for bf4 and bf1 i also have maybe have another 600 hours over the 2 accounts and bfv i have 312 hours. Dont get me wrong I am loving call of duty MW I maybe have 100+ hours in the game and still playing

Well BF4 is aging and modern GPU's don't struggle with it, optimisation was well done with time. A GTX 1070 runs BF 4 at 4K on ultra right around 80-100Fps. So things are not that bad. I've got a 1060 6Gb and heavily play BF 4, recently I bought a new 1440p 144Hz G-sync monitor. I am getting around 70-90FPS on ultra/high ... :D I've got Battlefront 2 as well and I don't play it that much but the graphics are great and there I get just around 60FPS on High... :D Overall not great, not terrible.

Personally, I enjoy CoD's sound design. People could say that it's "exaggerated" but I just absolutely love loud *ss sounds. Especially gunfire and explosions. I also love realistic mechanical sounds

BF came out in 2013 when I graduated high school lol. It still looks amazing purely from the dynamic look/feel of the environment. I still prefer BF4's sound after all this time. Primarily how the sound echoes and travels throughout the AO. COD sound effects tend to have more treble so you can hear the bolt/mechanical sounds more clearly which makes it seen more clean. But COD just doesn't have the bass and thumbing of BF4 imo. All this coupled with 3D water, physical bullet trajectories, and destructible environments BF4 still feels the most professional.

I will say, the glare in Bf4 is way over the top. If you're fighting into the sun, you can barely see your weapon. MW's glare can be bad, but only when you're inside a dark building looking out. MW's smoke, while not casting realistic shadows like Bf4, does react dynamically with the map following walls, surrounding objects, and getting trapped on ceilings. It's still super impressive how well Battlefield 4 holds up. I still remember being stunned by the Siege of Shanghai reveal gameplay. Hopefully we get back to this rivalry. As Battefield took off away from modern shooters with cops v robbers and the World War settings with CoD focused more on futuristic settings, the FPS genre lost one of its great and healthy rivalries that helped boost and revolutionize the genre throughout the 2000s and early 2010s.

@@slycooperfox5050 As long as you're not starring directly at the sun, it's not gonna blind you. In Bf, if it's barely in the camera, you can't see anything. The lens flare is just way over the top and unrealistic.

Because I'm too focused on strategic ways to go about fights, the sun flare is realistic to real life, if the sun is hella bright you have to squint your eyes to see... Can't necessarily do that in a game yet... And besides, why are you complaining about a games over the top graphics from 2013? If say props to BF for being able to put something even remotely good as this out. And if the sun is really a problem for you, that's why there are less realistic games like COD. I respect your opinion, just thought I'd be the devil's advocate

I just want to correct the part about the RTX shadows. They only work from indoor lights and not the sun, otherwise, the tree leaves would look much softer while the trunk would be sharper. I noticed what they did when I noticed I had 0 performance drops in outdoor areas than I did in indoor areas(I'm using a GTX 1660ti). I did a comparison by turning RTX on and off in and indoor and outdoor scene and noticed that the outdoor shadows had 0 difference on looks or performance while indoor had a signifigant fidelity gain with RTX on and the performance was much worse.
