[Please read for an in-depth explanation!] It works on PC as well... Been using this for a long time now! Just get up on a tree stand by pressing your use key, then when you're on top, look at the seat and get down by pressing 'e'. The screen would be turned black and while this is happening hold the disassemble key (default: r). It'll work perfectly. Note: the exploit will be gone if you do the following: 1. Enters any hunting structures or any portable ones, 2. Switches reserve The 'hidden' effect would be gone, but you would still be unable to jump and prone :P The Pros and cons of this exploit: pros: + 80% less visibility, + less sound created by movements, + less hunting pressure since you're still registered inside the tree stand. cons: - Can't jump, - Can't go to prone, - Doesn't remove your scent, so animals can still smell you, - Being overpowered... Theory: This exploit happens because the game thinks that you're still on a tree stand while climbing down. To change your state from the 'hidden' state to the normal state, the game must look for the tree stand that you are from. But, if you're in the process of climbing down and the stand is gone, the game cancels the normalization and you are still registered as being inside a tree stand.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, BUT..... I can get the JUMP and PRONE functions working again by fast travelling to a tent.... Seems to work every time for me, on PC that is.

easier way is to have enough space in your inventory for your stand. place said stand. go on the stand. turn around, exit, then hold your reload button

How to do it: go up to a tree place you tree stand then go up it and go in to you map and hover over the fast travel on the closest lodge then push x and triangle x first then after triangle that’s it ❤❤

Hey man it stills works but I had do do it differently on my own and it worked. I would edit your vid becuase with me you go into the stand and exit(xbox) press X one to exit and hold Y. I just understood how this works, just when you hit the reload button, that is the same to retrieve the tree stand, it thinks you are still in it but you should be carrying it. I only had to exit and "grab" the stand before hit the ground. No need to rapid button mashing.

Still works on ps4. 2.april 2021 after the 1.6 update and doggo. You have to push square to leave the treesrand and immediately push triangle. I had a bagpack on to carry the highstand. Fasttravel and weaponlocker are available. I take the bagpack out of the inventory to be more silent (without a bagpack 20 weight). Now i can run around through fields and woods etc. Only 3 bars white while runnning and 2 bars while walking..... That's god mode lol. The only thing is, when you have to jump etc. ( on a Mission....)you'd restart the game. ( Not new game. Just shut it down on ps4 and restart). Then all Changes are back to normal.... Thx. Finally i can do the heartshot bear Mission with a bow in yukon....

I don't play the game any more however my most recent comments pretty much all say that this still works. One or two say otherwise though so I'd say "most likely" that it works. They never used to really patch any of the glitches and bugs when I played and stuff like flying 1000KM into the sky with a quad was possible 😂

It does still work, you'll still be somewhat visible but it's basically invisibility as shown in the video. Just keep an eye on the visibility guage in the corner and it should always be a line: __

SoulReaper1922 you have to get into the tree stand first. Turn around and press the exit button. As soon as your screen goes black quickly click whatever button picks it up. It won’t work if you press them both at the same time.

With the latest update (the fixed geese and AR rifles one) on the Xbox Series X, this glitch has been partially patched. If you attempt to do this, what happens is you don't end up unmounting the tree stand, and your visibility is unchanged. But... you still cannot jump or go prone. Entering and exiting any sort of stand now returns your ability to go prone and jump.

Can confirm.. works on PC.. press E fast, then R for dismantle.. got it on my second try :-) Shot a couple of deer's with the bow while standing out in the open and luring them in.. Takes the fun away though...

Still works on Xbox, but it got rid of all reticles on scopes. Irons still work, but you gotta get close enough to use them, or just be that good to use them from afar.

Found a slightly different method, but it too is either gone or broken.. PS4 : Hold TRIANGLE, then SQUARE to exit, still doesn't work though.. Perhaps update 1.56 killed it??
